Doe Bay is very nice. The setting and the overall expereince is serene and restful. The food is beyond reproach but a bit expensive. The staff is very attentive and the hot tubs are terrific. Most people handle the optional clothing very well. The cabins do need some touches however. The utensils could be better. Ours had not colendar for... More

This is a great place for a large group gathering or just a romantic get-away. It's exclusively cabins. The cabins are clean and well maintained, with excellent views and close to walking trails. The hot tubs were awesome, but beware the nudists. There's a little grocery store and cafe on the premises.

Doe Bay Resort, as another reviewer aptly put it, is NOT a resort. It is a somewhat ramshackle, unplanned set of funky not very clean cabins and yurts overlooking a spectacularly beautiful bay, with amazing views and clean air. It's also just a five minute or so drive to Moran State Park, which is likewise an amazing place to be... More

We have stayed at Doe Bay several times over the years. A few years ago we felt like they had spent time on improving the cabins. This time we were very dissatisfied. Prior to our arrival they did some work in the room and left sheet rock dust on the floor. When I swept the floor I realized that none... More

A friend and I stayed at the Horsetail Hill campsite at Doe Bay last weekend. We arrived late Friday night and followed a sign reading "campsite" that appeared to point to a children's playground. Seeing a picnic table there, we assumed it was our site and pitched a tent. The next day we realized our mistake as our campsite was... More

Our family rented two of the Domes ("Doe" & "Gnome") for a few days in summer 2015. The food at the cafe was delicious and the setting at the cafe was lovely and peaceful. Pizza night with "open mike" (Thurs) was fun and delicious. And the music was lively and entertaining. Breakfast was outstanding! But that's where the positives end...... More

We like the rustic nature of Doe Bay and stay in the yurts. I'm sure some might prefer not to hike a short way through the trail with your own bags etc. and have to do without electricity, but we welcomed the "unplugging". We also relaxed in the hot tubs nightly and sauna.

My brother-in-law got married here, so we made the trek out. It was lovely. The hot tubs are toasty and have a lovely view of the bay. It's convenient to Obstruction Pass and Moran state parks, which offer nice hiking opportunities. The food in the cafe was delicious. They catered most of the wedding meals, so I got to try... More

I recently made a reservation for a cabin at Doe Bay in connection with a retreat being held there. When the retreat itself was cancelled, I cancelled my cabin reservation and was charged a $50 cancellation fee by Doe Bay. This fee apparently applies whenever you have to cancel; even if it's the same day as the reservation was made.

I have read all the reviews and the negative ones did not apply to my stay at all. We got a great weekend in April and decided to give it a try. Was a little more money than Rosario, but a definitely different experience for different purposes. If you want to be pampered in a little room with fancy service... More
