Spent one night here travelling from Seattle to the Olympic Peninsula. Pros: friendly desk clerk. : free tea and cookies in the lobby. : the room was a decent size. Stayed one night and was pleasantly surprised about the great location of the hotel. Close to freeway, but far away to not have freeway noise. The room was nicely furnished and quiet. We stayed here one night because we were going to a concert at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton. The casino hotel was booked so we decided to go budget in Olympia. After searching the area extensively for a reasonably priced room, we located this one. We're very happy we did too. It is walking distance from the Capitol and other attractions. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet and the staff is courteous. For the price, this hotel is really hard to beat.

We stayed at the Capitol Plaza Hotel for one night on our way back to Canada. It was clean, the breakfast had a waffle machine, with hard boiled eggs, muffins, juice, coffee, and assorted wrapped pastries. There was no noise in the hallways at all, unlike the BW in Portland. We stayed a single night here as the STP bike ride had our other hotel booked up. One was too many. I think they clean the rooms with the lights off. Before we could sit on the desk chair I scrubbed it with Lysol wipes. Surprise! It came clean. The walls had strange white drip marks running down. Unrinsed TSP?... More

Comfortable, quiet & with all you need for a good nights rest in a convenient location. Could be kept up a bit more; a little run down yet an admirable place for the price. Breakfast room is a little like camp though. Not spotless but clean. Staff are friendly & helpful.

We stayed at the Capitol Plaza Hotel on our way to Canada. It was clean, the staff was very friendly, the bed was comfy and it was an excellent value. I was greeted upon entering the lobby with the smell of fresh baked cookies placed at the front desk for all to enjoy. Not the newest or the cleanest but clean where it counts. There were several paper remnants left from the prior guest that should have easily been cleaned up, but weren't.
