Camped here several times since 1991. An astounding old growth forest, a delightful lively river and access to world class hiking with campsites that range from excellent to terrible (especially for tent camping). About 140 out of 180 sites are reserve-able June thru Labor Day and will be claimed for all Friday and Saturday nights. There are many excellent first-come...

We stayed here for a night due to the proximity to 3 of the trails we wanted to hike. Literally steps to 2 trails from the campground loop. Mostly rvs around us so we had bathroom to ourselves. However I agree with the other reviewer who talked about the noisy kids and adults too, but we encountered this from the...

Our family loves camping and Ohanapecosh remains one of our favorite places to camp! Lots of trees, a river, small creek, and plenty of campsites to choose from. If you prefer a more peaceful and quiet camp experience, I'd suggest going during the week if possible. Campgrounds as popular as this place will still fill up but campers tend to...

Arrived and set up camp. Went for a hike to silver falls and it was amazing. After the other campers arrived around us it got bad. Kids running through our camp yelling and screaming. One girl even dropped her pants and peed right there in front of us. Then our next door camper arrived at 11pm and had his headlights...

Lovely spot on the river, although the river can be quite loud and breezy if you are directly on its banks. Nicely treed site. Old growth, so the trees are big and widely spaced, reducing privacy. Surprised to see a number of first come, first served spots still available on a busy long weekend. Nice, moderate hike to silver falls...

Just came back from three days at a family favorite that we have not been to in nearly a decade as they do not accept motor homes over 32 feet. We downsized from a 36 footer to a 27 footer and this was out first time back. This time we had our daughter and her 2 and 5 year old...

My 6 year old son and I spent last Saturday, June 11th at Ohanapecosh. It was our first visit and we will definitely go back. We found a fairly secluded site in the A loop although the campground was pretty empty. This is a great location for hiking and sightseeing. We loved the round trip hike to Silver Falls and...

We were there off season, so we had most of the place to ourselves, but it was quiet and you get to listen to the river a few hundred yards away all night. Super peaceful. There are numerous hiking paths starting right in the campground so you can get up and enjoy the park. Can't really beat it.

I love Mt. Rainer National Park. I love Ohanapecosh campground even more. I have been to dozens of states in the US, and dozens of countries around the world, but there is nothing quite like this magical little slice of heaven south of the mountain. It is sheltered and peaceful, and is parfumed with the sweet scent of western red...

I love this campground. I was fortunate enough to get a spot with easy access to the river while enjoying extremely warm weather. Plenty of little trails and such to explore, campsites are spread out pretty well. Facilities were well maintained. I really enjoyed it.
