Overall a fun weekend in Port Townsend. We were glad to be staying at the Tides Inn, which is a quick 15 minute walk down the street to the historical shops and restaurants. Very convenient and glad it's outside of the hub as it's quieter...More
We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon journey around the Olympic Peninsula. The Tides was mentioned in many of the popular travel publications as a must stay. They must pay for this benefit.

There were very mixed reviews on this hotel, but I was choosing to opt for the good. I think usually bad reviews are from some crabby person. But, I think the crabby people were right.

We enjoyed our glamorous 80s styled waterfront suite! The hotel is on the edge of the quaint historic downtown Port Townsend and also on the waterfront. Free breakfast was the usually crappy coffee and junk that you get in a free motel breakfast but it...More

Thank you for your interest in Tides Inn. The 2 queen, dog-friendly room does have a water-view and a small patio off of the entry door. It is part of our original building which is more like a traditional beach front inn with exterior entrance. The rooms are dated, but it is clean with a charming feel.
Also, the room is reasonably quiet as it is on the water-side of the building and not the street side. The room is on the ground floor and that section of the room is a single story with no rooms above the room. Finally, there is no noise factor from the ferry to be concerned about.
I hope the information was helpful and we look forward to having you stay with us. Please don't hesitate to contact us at 1-800-822-8696 if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you.
