Two nights in a caboose. This was not our first experience sleeping in a caboose, so we knew basically what to expect. We have also spent a few nights at B&Bs. But this was our first experience at a Caboose B&B. The main B&B building was once a railroad bunkhouse, originally built by Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad...

We actually did not stay here but went in and talked to the owner and asked about staying in the future. She let us wander around the historical B&B and look at the building & all kinds of Milwaukee RR items. She was so nice & informative. There are 4 caboose cabins to stay in as well as inside rooms...

This quaint B&B is not the ideal choice for comfort, but great for train enthusiasts. The innkeepers run a very strict breakfast time and will not serve you if you are 10 minutes late. Also, most rooms have to share communal bathrooms.

We were attracted to the novelty of staying overnight in a caboose, which we had done in other places (CA, IL). The setup here is very good; we stayed in the Milwaukee Road caboose which was cleverly configured with two fold-out beds in the cupola, which the kids really enjoyed. The hosts are very friendly and made us an excellent...

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were both so friendly, made us feel right at home. We had a room in the Bunkhouse which was small but nice. There are so many interesting things to see here that it was like staying in a museum! I especially liked the library room. The breakfast was delicious. The only downside...

What an absolute dream this mini vacation was. Our family of three spent one night in the Great Northern Caboose. The cupola in the caboose converts from seats to beds, and our eleven year old son loved having his own bunk and space to hang out in. The history at the Inn was fascinating and Mary and Doug were kind,...

It was in October so the weather was perfect. Surrounded by trees and mountains in the distance. Our caboose had a hot tub in it and a little deck to sit out on and have drinks. Which we brought. It had a microwave and a little fridge. The best part was the next morning you went to the main house...

My Husband are railroad buffs and were lucky enough to have found this B&B, owned by Doug and Mary Pittis, tucked away in South Cle Elum a very short distance from downtown. We stayed for 2 nights in a real Caboose at the Iron Horse Inn. The establishment is a beautifully restored historic Milwaukee Road Railway bunkhouse with 4 uniquely...

My husband is a train aficionado and was excited to be able to spend a night in a real caboose. Of the four, I chose the Southern Pacific because of the Jacuzzi tub for two and proximity to the creek that runs through the property. Unfortunately, the creek is so overgrown that you can't see it from the deck off...

We spent a wonderful couple of days in a caboose and exploring the history of the area near Cle Ellum. It was fascinating to relive the bygone days of railroading by living in a remodeled caboose. It was upgraded to include all the bells and whistles of a comfortable bed and breakfast room. Each day began with a delicious breakfast...
