Had a great time on the 90 minute Lady of the Lake boat ride. The scenery was beautiful and I learned that Hood Canal should really be called Hood Fijord. Learned some other interesting facts about the area.

You really should rent a car and stop in Gig Harbor on the way. After you cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge take the City Center/Wollochet Dr NW exit and head east down the hill, to the waterfront. There are several restaurants and lots of charming shops (art, clothing, and outdoor). There is also the fairly new Harbor History Museum. On your return from the Alderbrook Resort and Spa you might want to stop in Tacoma and visit the LeMay America's Car Museum, the Chihuly Museum of Glass (includes free outdoor exhibits), the Tacoma Art Museum, or the Washington State History Museum. Tacoma also has some wonderful restaurants on the waterfront on Ruston Way. This is also a great place for a stroll.

All guestrooms, with the exception of the ADA handicap accessible rooms, offer soaking tubs. Our cottages do not offer soaking tubs.
