I am a repeat visitor to this special place, and I enjoy singing its praises. The award-winning restoration of this historic site was accomplished by the resident owner-manager couple, Dave and Amy, and they are delightful in every way. They work hard to make this a welcoming, comfortable place for anybody who wants the kind of experience they offer. Keep... More

We recently returned from travels to the Pacific Northwest and California, staying at four different hotels, two of them Hilton properties. Of the four, the Waterville Hotel provided the best room and the most fun. The Hilton properties were boring with enough disinterested employees to leave us wondering. Dave--the owner at the Waterville--however, was great fun. He has a rather... More

This is to date one of the most memorable hotel I stayed at. I always look for character hotel but this turned out beyond my expectations. I arrived injured and both owners were very caring in providing me with ice and helping with the pain. I sat across the hotel on the park's grass. It was so pleasant, basking in... More

I was on a motorcycle trip through Washington and looking for a hotel to spend the night in Waterville Wa, There is only one hotel and it was built in 1903 but the proprietor who bought it several years ago has turned it into a little piece of Americana by restoring it. He has turned it into a bit of... More

The 1903 Waterville Hotel is one of our favorite places. When we are on the east side of the North Cascade Mountains we always drift toward Waterville, WA on Route 2. Playing golf at the Desert Canyon 18 hole mini course (full course also), stopping at roadside fruit markets, enjoying the spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge to end... More

My husband and I enjoy staying at Historic Hotels and decided to make a trip up to Waterville and stay a couple of nights. When I called for reservations Dave was interested in the direction we were coming from and gave us information on places to stop and eat and see on our way. Upon arrival we were greeted by... More

We just spent a very special weekend at The Waterville Historic Hotel. We were there for an antique car tour with 18 other people and their cars. The cars are all of the pre 16 era and they fit right into the decor of the hotel We were greeted warmly by the inn keeper Dave. He showed us our rooms,... More

Sadly, we we were able to spend only one night at this gorgeous hotel, with its cornucopia of interesting and historic contents. Dave and Amy are fabulous hosts who manage to socialise while running a well organised operation. We would love to return.

We first experienced the Waterville hotel on a trip from Seattle to Spokane. We were drawn to it's old fashioned look, and small town charm. We enjoyed the large claw foot tub and comfortable room. It was like a step into yesteryear, with no televisions in the room, but tapes of programing from the early years of communications. The owners... More
