I should have used Tripadvisor before booking this hotel. I wanted something on the water with a kitchen. I stayed in the cabin and this place is right on the water. The cabin, however, is so run down it shouldn't be rented out. The windows...More
I have stayed here, in the "cabins" for a numbers of years and this place has so deteriorated. The view remains great but the cabin was terrible. Cabin dirty, walls stained, badly chipped paint everywhere, window sills filthy with mold growing up sides, nearely impossible...More
View was amazing, but not worth the experience: Gas smell, broken closet door, broken bathroom door, broken shower knob, melted sink, missing window screen, broken slider door to the deck, deck flooring "spongy", broken lamp in living area. Don't expect to use a hair dryer....More
One of the worst stays EVER. Tiny, cramped room and even tinier bathroom, the mini-shower had black mold and there was no water pressure so it dribbled, not showered. Water stopped entirely, and then drastically changed temp, when anyone in the other six rooms did...More
Harbor Resort is right on the water adjacent to the boat harbor in Westport, WA. The individual cabins, located a few feet from the water's edge, have great views. This all seemed fine until we entered our cabin. It, like the others, was a single...More

We are not the owners or staff, but have stayed there many times over the last 30 years. When we first stayed there rooms were $20 per night. We go there to fish and crab off the dock, which is just outside the door. We get a room with a kitchenette to cook the crabs. This is NOT a resort type place with amenities. It is more like a fishing shack. No real "services" other than the store that sells trinkets, milk and bait with crab ring rentals. Our room didn't smell bad last time we went. Clean enough if you don't have a baby crawling on the carpet. Not a place to lay around the room and enjoy yourself, a place to use the dock, and sleep after adventuring. We haven't seen any bugs. You really can't compare this place to a best western or even motel 6.
We would stay there again, because we like to put in the crab pot, go back to the room and watch some tv, then pull up the crab pot and check it. We like taking our own trailer better and staying in one of their rv spaces and do the same thing.
It just really depends on what kind of traveler you are, and how important amenities are. Hope this helps.
