This is the place my husband and I nearly always stay when visiting the Methow for cross-country skiing. He and I visited together three times in January and February this year, and he stayed another two times. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms...More
We had the pleasure to stay in the Raven Ridge luxury suite. Large, gorgeous room with a big deck and an amazing view of the mountains. The room was very quiet and walking distance to town. Nicest rooms in all of Winthrop.
I booked Mt. Gardner Inn from all the raving reviews on TA, and they did not disappoint! We stayed here in lieu of Sun Mountain Lodge which is where the wedding was taking place, and it was perfect. It was 10-minute walk to town..great location....More

We stayed in the Quail room. The room is nice, clean and in good condition. This a basic hotel room with a patio area. The only downside with our stay was that the people in the room on the second floor were a bit loud.More

The big question for the Methow Valley in May is whether or not the North Cascades Highway is open. You can get there when it's not open, but you have more options when it is open. There is a wsdot webpage that lists historic opening dates. I normally go in winter, but I have been there over Memorial Day weekends a couple times. The weather is typically warm and dry then.
