The Mt. Gardner Inn is a cute place just outside of Winthrop. The room we stayed in was a pet friendly room on the highway-facing side of the property. The room itself had two queen beds and was exceptionally clean and charmingly decorated. There are nice little touches like a white noise machine and black "makeup" wash cloth. There is,...

We appreciate this guests time to review our property. We are so pleased she thought the room was clean and nicely appointed with an attention to detail. The deadbolt was fixed immediately after the guest checked out. It was apparently broken the day before, as we check these important items daily. We have a very large property, almost an acre,...

I'd give this place 4.5* if I could. What's great about it: Extremely helpful, friendly owners who suggest where to go and what to do; comfortable and well-appointed rooms; location (although not immediately downtown); and a decent selection of complimentary DVD rentals. What's not so great: Mostly the wifi. The wifi is serious, averaging 0.1-0.2 Mbps upload/download during the day...

Thank you, so much, for the feedback and time and the "4.5/5 star rating." We are located in an extremely rural area (45 miles from the nearest stop light), and therefore our WiFi is at the whim of Mother Nature. During this guests' stay, there was a storm and high winds. The internet is inconsistent in this type of weather....

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The decor really fits the Inn and was tastefully done. The bed was comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful. Allison was so helpful, she made a dinner reservation for us. When she found out we were going wine tasting, she placed wine glasses in our room. Thank you!

Love Mt. Gardner Inn such a nice relaxing visit. Walked to town last night for dinner on the river. The rooms have such a nice atmosphere and the beds were soooo comfy!! Hoping to come back to this beautiful place for more than one night. Great area to walk and ride bikes. We also so several deer walking to town.

What a lucky find, booked more based on limited availability in the area, but we got a total gem! Located close enough to the cool little downtown of Winthrop to walk but far enough away to escape to a quiet, bucolic, farm-like setting. Staff: Family-run. You feel like you're staying with friends. A buddy and I had to book a...

This hotel may not look too promising from the outside, but do not be put off by the rustic exterior. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a homely feel you don't get from a chain hotel. TV and WiFi included, We received the warmest welcome we have ever received from a hotel receptionist. The hotel even provides DVDs...

My review is overdue as we stayed at the Mt. Gardner Inn from June 19 through June 25, 2016. This was our first stay in the Methow Valley area, and friends steered us toward Sun Mountain Lodge. However, after doing research on Trip Advisor, I found this lovely facility and felt it would be an excellent choice for the activities...

I normally don't stay in Winthrop because I find it a bit pricey but this time we booked a room at the Mt Gardiner Inn. When we got there she could not find the reservation which I booked online. Then she did find it but for next Saturday 7 days hence. I must have hit the wrong button or something...

We stayed on TripAdvisor recommendation and must confirm this motel as a jewel in a very cute 'western themed' town of Winthrop Washington. It is located about 1/2 mile from the town center. An easy walk. Good Restaurants also nearby. The rooms are decorated to a separate theme, Ravens, Ptarmigans, Grouse, Pheasants, etc. Each tasteful with comfortable furnishings. Superior beds....

Great hosts - informative, welcoming. Excellent value for money. Lovely room with comfy beds, very clean and good in-room amenities. Stayed with 2 small children. Close to restaurants and the centre of town. No issues being by roadside - v quiet. Would highly recommend
