My wife found this location while searching for a getaway weekend for us. We wanted to check out the caverns nearby and this looked like a great place to stay. We were not disappointed! The rooms were very nice and clean. The deck is lined with rocking chairs which everyone put to good use. Sitting in the rocking chairs with...

A lovely retreat off the beaten path. Room was very attractive and comfortable. Good home-cooked food for breakfast and dinner. Hiking trails right out the back door. Very friendly hosts willing to help in any way.

My wife and I decided to take a short mini-moon after our wedding rather than go on a huge trip right away. I happened to stumble upon this place by chance, and what a find! This place is amazing and it was a perfect way to relax after the wedding. The main lodge and suite were beautiful and incredibly comfortable...

I can't say enough fantastic things about Ed and Carol and their wonderful Inn. We decided to take a very last minute, spontaneous trip to get out of the DC area on a Saturday morning. After searching "WV getaways from DC," I quickly came across the North Fork Mountain Inn. I called, Ed answered and within minutes I was booked...

We found this bed and breakfast while exploring the country side between Allegheny and Smoky Mountains. They had the connection we needed for our electric vehicle trip. In addition we enjoyed top notch food. Rustic, knotty pine and very comfy leather furniture in common spaces, cozy room and mountain air! Big porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the view! Hiking...

My husband and I got married at North Fork Mountain Inn last weekend. A month before that, we were just planning a mountain getaway but looking through the website, we saw that they offered wedding/elopement packages. We decided it was time to get married. After discussing it with family, we chose the 'Just the Two of Us' package. We booked...

It was a delight to be a part of your special day. You were such a beautiful bride. Your husband was such a perfect English gentleman. We so enjoyed having you sharing this special occasion with us that we shared the experience with another engaged couple from the UK that visited this week on holiday. We look forward to your...

My husband and I have come here every year for the last 4 years as an annual winter weekend getaway. We love how remote and peaceful it is (no cell phone service, though you can get onto their WiFi if you need to). We do the wine tasting/dinner option Saturday night since there aren't really any other restaurants nearby, and...

We were looking for a place near Dolly Sods, and boy did we find a winner! From the moment we arrived Carol was inviting and helpful. The lodge is beautiful and there are plenty of common areas to relax and still be social with the other guests. Dinner was ready when we arrived, and it was a delicious 3 course...

Jimmy I am sorry that I missed you but it sounds like Carol delivered on our promise of a quality and authentic experience. We hope you can return for our foraging weekend when we will be harvesting ramps and morels in Dolly Sods and serving my anticipated entry in the Great American Seafood cook off. Thanks for the great review.

Our family of four, 2 adults, 2 teens had a great time spending 3 nights at the North Fork Mountain Inn. It is a very nice property close to Seneca Rocks, Dolly Sods and other cool places in WV. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, and the two nights we requested dinner at the Inn were great. Carol accommodated our...
