Donn and Marie are absolutely WONDERFUL innkeepers who were very welcoming and thoughtful hosts. They have everything for the weary traveler, not the least of which is attentiveness to their guests. The history of the house and area is fascinating and Donn & Marie know their stuff! Every detail was thoughtful, right down to the plate of delicious cookies waiting...

We stayed four nights here and could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to come back. The home is beautiful and has a rich history. The owners go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Yummy breakfasts too.

Our stay at the Carriage Inn was absolutely divine. My husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Donn and Marie welcomed us with open arms and showered us with such awesome hospitality. The room was everything we dreamed and more. The food, cookies and cake was oh so delicious. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back....

This was our first time ever staying at a B&B. We have to say, Donn & Marie really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They set the bar extremely high. We stayed in the Copper Beach Suite. It was AMAZING! Our stay was our Christmas gift to each other. We spent the weekend wine tasting and just...

My husband and I have stayed at the Carriage Inn several times, and it is one of our all-time favorite Inns. The innkeepers, Marie and Donn, couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, and the house has a lot of history. The food is exceptional, and the location is great. While there, we visited a cemetery where many civil war soldiers...

We stayed here a single night as we were attending an event at the Charlestown Casino. Such a lovely old home rich in history! Architecture was beautiful! Very quiet too considering it's so close to everything. Room was very cozy and comfortable as well as very clean. Breakfast was absolutely amazing!! We enjoyed our chat with the owners and hope...

We booked this B&B because it seemed like a nice one in the area. we had no idea of the history of the town. Charles was George Washington's Brother. there are more than 70 washingtons buried in the grave yard behind the B&B . I didn't know who John Brown was until I arrived. Donn And Marie are the most...

Wonderful experience. Accommodation is very comfortable, the decor is cozy and authentic, the breakfast amazing - and very filling - and the hosts have a wealth of historical information about the house to share. We stayed with our two kids in the cottage on the side and I highly recommend it.

My wife and I recently had the privilege to stay at the Carriage Inn B&B in Charles Town, WV. The home is beautiful and spacious and filled with interesting historical pictures and memorabilia from the Civil War period. Our room was large and delightful, with a gas fire to keep the room cozy, very comfortable bed, and en suite bathroom....
