We are looking forward to seeing you again!! Our experience of seeing guests "arrive as strangers, but depart as friends" makes our life so rich! Thanks for being a part of our lives!
We stayed here for our third time during a visit to Antietam and would not stay anywhere else when in the Harpers Ferry area. Donn and Marie are wonderful hosts and will make your stay as comfortable as possible. We recommend this B&B wholeheartedly.More

Our guests who return make our work fun because we are not just cleaning and preparing for ANYONE, we are preparing for (name withheld) and (name withheld), our FRIENDS! Thank you for returning over and over again! It is ALWAYS a PLEASURE to see you!...More
This B&B is among the best we've visited. The home figured prominently in the Civil War and it's very close to other historical landmarks, including homes of George Washington family members and Harper's Ferry. The home is comfortable, the innkeepers are gracious and welcoming, and...More

We LOVED having you guys! You are going to be "hooked" on the Bed and Breakfast experience! Someone gave us a getaway to out first B & B, and our "addiction" led to our eventually buying The Carriage Inn B & B! It MIGHT happen...More
I am SO SORRY we did not get your message in a timely way! We cannot accommodate any pets due to life-threatening allergies which one of the innkeepers has to animals. We regret this very much!
Regrettably, due to one of the innkeeper's life-threatening allergies to dogs and cats, we are unable to accept animals at the Inn.

She grew up with pets and developed asthma as a young adult This disability/condition has only gotten worse! It is a sad loss in our life not to have pets!
Thanks for your inquiry and your kind understanding.

Great! We hope you will come! There are antiques all around us! A few shops are located here in Charles Town, and more in Shepherdstown (12 miles away). Also within 1/2-hour, there are great shops in Frederick, MD / Winchester, VA and Leesburg, VA! Of course, on the way to each place there are small villages and towns with places to "hunt"!
Regarding metal detecting, we do not know any farm owners nearby, but there is a FaceBook page on metal detecting in WV's Eastern Panhandle. Do a search for it and you may be able to make some contacts there!
We do know all state and federal parks of off-limits unless you have lost a specific item like a wedding ring.
We will ask around to see what we can find out!
Hoping to see you at our front door soon!
Sincerely
DONN DAVIS, Co-Innkeeper/Co-Owner
