I would not stay here again, So called non smoking room smelled strongly of tobacco. No restaurant or lounge. no telephone in room. Toilet ran constantly until I shut off water...Poor service from only staff member... Beds were fine. Quite honestly, room was of fifties vintage and not upgraded since,, ..
the room I stayed in 266 smelled like somebody had died in it and was still there, the tv reception was crap, the hot water nozzle in the bathroom did not work, the wifi goes out every time the wind blows and the guy 2 rooms down from me told me he tried to use his microwave and his tv caught on fire. I would rather have slept in a tent.
Stayed here on an overnight trip, and enjoyed from beginning to end. The staff was more than helpful about sites in area. The newly opened restaurant had Sunday breakfast bar that was well worth the price. Well come again
Unfortunately this motel is badly in need of renovations. Upon my arrival the a/c in the room was off and it was 90 degrees. The analog television was unplugged which I thought was strange, but soon realized that the last person who stayed there needed to plug in something and the receptacle where the alarm clock was located didn't work. There was also no shampoo or Kleenex. The restaurant that has long been a plus is also closed. It was never owned by the Heldreth people, but it was convenient. I couldn't wait to make an early exit on the morning of my check out. There were only 8 cars in the parking lot when I was leaving and if I had the 8th best room I can't imagine how bad the others must be. Needless to say, I won't be staying at Heldreth's again.
The rooms are nasty. The first room we received had mouse droppings everywhere...even in the BED! We moved to another room around the corner and no droppings were found but we were very leary because the room was just around the corner from the other one. One of the beds felt like you were going to roll out of it at anytime which lead to a terrible night's sleep. The TV is from the 1980s. And the restaurant was not open for the entire 2 days we were there. No coffee makers are in the rooms so there was no coffee available on site. We asked for a blanket because the sheets are so worn and paper thin it's like not having anything on and the other option was the nasty comforter. After asking the front desk for a blanket, we were told "it's in the dresser drawer" and it wasn't. The front desk agent was not friendly and in fact when we told her about the mouse droppings she did not seem surprised at all and made me feel she was being inconvenienced to move to a different room. And when I asked about a discount on the room she said she was not authorized to help me and showed no concern about anything. And she said she had no way of getting in touch with the manager/owner because he did not live on property. Really??! So if there's an emergency, what then?! I work in the hospitality industry so there's no way that is true! Or at least it shouldn't be. WOW! When I returned home, I contacted the motel via email and via the contact us page on the website and still have not heard from anyone. That was over 10 days ago. I guess I'm not surprised because they didn't care when I was there so why would they care now?!…
