We visited for the first time: a long week-end get-away, with another couple who golfed, & who had been here many times. All 4 of us LOVED it. The golf is great. The scenery is wonderful. We saw many deer & other wildlife as we drove or walked along some of the park's many delightful paths. The cable car down... More

Visited Pipestem Resort State Park in late April for an overnight on a photography vacation road trip and was so impressed I vowed to return in the Fall. I stayed at the McKeever Lodge in Rooms 419 (April), 619 (October) and 719 (October), each a single overnight. I have mobility issues and one thing I didn't get to do in... More

On a recent visit my family and I stayed at Pipestem Resort. What an amazing view of the mountains and the fall foilage. The staff was very accommodating and the food was very very good. I can't wait to return for another visit to This Magnificent place cause there's so much to discover and do. And if I ever get... More

We stayed in the cabins so this review is just about cabins. Pipestem is desperately in need of upgrades and management. The cabin prices are bargain basement but still not worth the price. With dirty windows (the glass in the storm door appeared to have been vomited on some time ago), dirty floors (barefoot or with white socks your feet... More

Pipestem Resort State Park's McKeever Lodge is a large, clean Lodge in an absolutely beautiful location in West Virginia. Our room is clean, quiet and comfortable and a nice size. Apparently most rooms have one queen and one double bed. Since it is just the two of us, we have the double bed covered with our luggage. Our one complaint,... More

Unfortunately, Pipestem lodges need renovation. The rooms are clean but old. The lodge below the aerial lift, Mt Creek River Lodge, is in worse shape than the main lodge. Pipestem has 2 golf courses an 18 hole and an executive par 3. Due to funding the Par 3 course is being closed this Fall. Pipestem used to be a want... More

Horseback riding; fine or casual dining; tram ride down the mountain; PGA event golf course; hiking in the mountains, along the creek or by the lake; lots of deer; fireplaces in every cabin with wood provided; nature center offering crafts, education & training for wilderness exploration. One week was not nearly enough! Recently upgraded appliances, rooms very comfortable and staff... More

We stayed here in a cabin years ago for a family reunion and I remember it being a bit worn but satisfactory for kids and activities. We came as a couple to meet with family and decided to stay at the lodge. Unfortunately our family gathering coincided with major construction. I was warned about the construction but not that so... We booked this stay at the last minute for a family funeral. We were aware the resort would be a busy place. The cabins were completely booked but we were able to get a room for 2 nights 1 queen, 1 full size bed. Check in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit dated,... More

We didn't stay here so I cannot say much about the actual resort. But we stopped by and visited this park and I must say it is simply beautiful. Oh and the views? Be prepared to pull over and get out your camera quite frequently as there are some very nice views to be seen. Worth a stop if you... More
