My wife and I made reservations based on Trip Advisor recommendations. We were suspicious as soon as we walked in to the darkened lobby area. When we got to the room, we knew that we would not stay there. The room was old and worn looking. It smelled as if it had been smoked in at some point in its... More

I'm sorry we were not what you expected. There is always that gap between seeing a photo online and imagining what it's going to be. We are always happy to help guests find what they are looking for and even list other lodgings on our website that have different amenities. We are a family-run country inn with a lot of... More

We purchase Peninsula Players Theater tickets and needed a last minute hotel. The room was extremely spacious. The common areas were dated but comfortable. Keep your expectations low with the continental breakfast. Sunday we hiked the trail from the hotel that lead to Fish Creek (about 1.5 miles). It was wonderful if you like to hike, taking you through forests,... More

We like the Settlement Courtyard. We discovered it years ago when we took a trip to door county and we did not have any reservations for a room anywhere. The Settlement Courtyard was new and had vacancies, so we stayed and have been staying. (except in winter, we stay in Sturgeon Bay) It has a great central location on the... More

Do not stay here. It is out-dated, (there was a mattress topper on the bed as if it was a college student's room) and there isn't any water pressure in the shower! They claim to offer a 'continental breakfast plus'; whatever that is. Actually it is defrosted bagels, bread and pastries from a warehouse-type club and raisin bran or Kashi... More

I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations. We offer a continental-plus, (a term used by the Wisconsin B&B Association) which includes the traditional coffee, juice and bakery with the "plus" including hard-boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit. We try to have a variety of bakery items to appeal to different tastes, from kids to seniors. Our license... More

Stayed three nights with our two children. If there were other children on the property you couldn't tell. Staff was friendly and helpful. In booking our stay the room type we wanted was not available and the staff assisted us to check on a hold and secure the room we wanted. Fully stocked kitchenette gives options. Actual keys instead of... More

The hotel is located a few minutes from downtown Fish Creek. After doing downtown shopping, it was nice to escape all the crowds and relax back at the hotel. The rooms are different than the typical hotel...nicely decorated, cozy, and clean...it makes for a unique experience. If you can't relax here, it's your own fault. I also had a massage... More

This property is nicely located - away from the maddening crowds found in all the little Door County towns, yet only 5 or 10 minutes from downtown Fish Creek and Peninsula State Park. And, in the middle of the county, so only 30 minutes or so to Washington Island. There's a wonderful cherry orchard & store across the street. They... More

My husband and I visited Settlement for the first time for our first anniversary this past weekend hoping for a relaxing and stress relieving weekend away, and we were not disappointed! We had the couples treatment massage, and it was very relaxing! The massage therapists were very personable and made us very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating,... More

The hotel is in a nice location just a mile or so outside Fish Creek, very quiet, except for some highway noise in the morning, if you like to sleep with the windows open. The rooms are clean, and our two-bedroom suite was large enough for three and quite comfortable. We wondered about the huge mounds of monstrous old velvet... More

We stayed at the Settlement 3 nights while in Door County for the triathlon. The place was quaint, clean and quiet. Everything was pretty basic, not exceptional, but nice. The location was convenient to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. An outdoor fire pit was one feature we thought would've been a nice touch in keeping with the atmosphere of the... More
