We spent of 4 day weekend at Black's Cliff resort in the Eagle's Nest cabin and had an awesome time. We had a private dock where we spent several hours fishing and even in early Oct caught quite a few fish. The line on my daugther's pole was snapped, so there are some obvious monsters in the lake (not a... More

My husband, myself and our two dogs stayed in the Red Pine cabin for 6 nights. This was an amazing, relaxing vacation. The cabin had everything you could ever want, was updated, and felt just like home. When we arrived we were greeted by Troy, who was very friendly. Jenny opened up the gift shop where we were greeted by... More

Black's Cliff on Lower Kaubashine Lake in Hazelhurst, WI is a classic Northwoods resort. The clean, well-maintained cabins are nestled along the shore of a small, peaceful lake where eagles soar overhead and loons call from the waves. Don't miss Jenny's gift shop, which features her handmade socks, gloves and more.

We had an amazing time! The weather was perfect and the cabin was so clean and quiet! Jenny and her husband were so helpful and always around if we had any questions. There were alot of things to do around the resort but so many possibilities around town.

We loved our stay at Black's Cliff Resort. The screen porch with the swinging bed really is the best. The cabins are far enough apart to have a sense of privacy and seclusion, but close enough to feel like you aren't alone. The kitchen contained everything we needed to cook, down to the cute little plastic "ears of corn" that... More

You know a vacation spot is good if your family wants to return to it over and over again.... which is the case with my family and I believe many others as well. First of all, the resort is run by a family and it has a very homey feeling about the lodgings. They are quite considerate with furnishing practically... More

My family have been staying at Black's Cliff since I can remember and I am now taking my family and friends to experience the North Woods here. Jenny and the family make tremendous hosts and allow you to have a private vacation while being there whenever you need them. You can't beat the location, either, as it's far enough away... More

A group of friends and I (7 adults, 1 child) wanted a relaxing getaway to the "north woods," and we could not have found a better gem than Black's Cliff Resort. We booked a special for a 3 night/4 day stay for a great price with an extremely reasonable down payment, and it was a great bang for our buck!... More

While the weather on our recent trip was far from perfect we have no complaints about our stay here. Beautiful cabin-2 bedrooms, bath, large living area with great fireplace, room bathroom, large and modern kitchen with everything we needed. Never opened up the beautiful porch and too cold to try the famous swinging bed but the extra space would be... More

“The cabins are up a hill from the lake so you have to use the stairways to get down to the lake. There isn't much for beach but the lake has a nice swimming area that is shallow, clean and safe. The setting is gorgeous but if you have folks in your group who have problems with stairs, or little ones that like to run off, you might not find this location ideal. Otherwise, it really is beautiful.”

“Only possible downfall to some would be that the cabins are up on the hill-need to walk a well manicured path/staircase down to the lake. No problem for most folks but would be for say, my mother.”

“If you can afford it, and/or are sharing like we did, I recommend the private homes over the resort as cabins are close together”
