Having stayed at hundreds of motels during my extensive travels throughout the U.S and Central America I rate this hotel up high on the list of places I have been, I can be a bit of a Ebenezer Scrooge when it comes to getting a hotel room, in these hard economic times, it can be challenging to find a decent...

My mom, my kids, and I took an evening boat tour of Horicon Marsh and wanted to stay overnight in the area. The Royal Oaks Motel was perfect for this. We had reserved a room ahead, then checked in before leaving for the tour from the boat landing, which is only a mile or less away. Our room was simple...

We stopped in Horicon, WI to visit the bird sanctuary (amazing) at Horicon Marsh. Royal Oaks was the closest hotel to where the boat tour started so we opted to stay there. We were very happy with our room and the owners and employees were all extremely nice and accommodating. The rates are cheap and although the rooms are dated...

Beautiful motel, that is cheap but safe and family friendly. We got the chance to get to know some of the long term residents. They were friendly, helpful, sweet and made our vacation memorable and amazing.. don't skip the pontoon tour of horicon marsh!! A must see when you stay!

The Royal Oaks is definitely a throw back to the early 1950s. The room was paneled in wood (probably pine) and had few updates. Reminded me of the "Up North" or in the mountains motels you see from the late 40s and early 50s. No phone in the room but in this day of cell phones that is not important....

There aren't exactly a lot of options if you want/need to spend the night in Horicon - but don't need to look any farther than the Royal Oaks Motel anyways. It is very clean & comfortable - and extremely quaint. You will not regret staying here - & its affordability is just a bonus.

This was a clean tidy place that was priced right. The setting with the beautiful oak trees was relaxing and charming. This is definitely not a high brow place, But the owners are nice, friendly and ready to make you comfortable. We were very happy with the our stay and recommend this hotel for those of you who are money...

My wife and I stayed in this motel while visiting Horicon Marsh. It was very clean and the owner/manager was extremely friendly and helpful. It is a little old and could use some renovation in spots, but overall very comfortable and close to where we wanted to be. One complaint--water tastes and smells strongly of sulphur. Recommend you take bottled...

We just spent a very nice weekend at the Royal Oaks. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Very reasonable rates, and pet-friendly. Park-like setting with huge oak trees, quiet. The odor from the water was a sulphur smell from the "well" water. Noticeable but not bad. Shower was strong, with plenty of hot water. We love the Horicon area, and...
