We had a great time in Grandma's Cottage. We came here to get away for a few days and canoe the Kickapoo River. Beautiful hobby farm. Very friendly animals. The cottage was just the perfect size. It's almost 100 years old, but still in great shape. Loved sitting on the front porch on the porch swing. There was no air...

Trillium Bed and Breakfast was created for families to spend time together not in front of a screen but as a way to reconnect with each other. Not having wifi and T.V. is one of the best parts about staying here. Actually talking to each other and going for walks or just sitting around the campfire is what most people...

I was very excited to stumble upon the Trillium Cottage B&B website. My husband and I were looking for a getaway trip for my parents as a thank you gift to them. I was thrilled to give them a gift certificate for a two nights stay at Grandma's Cottage. When my mom called to book the weekend she let me...

Dirty, dusty, musty, overgrown. Hair in the coffemaker. No curtains in one cottage where they were definitely needed. Save your money. The towels were washed by the owners and hung on a line to dry...talk about very unsanitary. Not sure how this place hasn't been forced to close down. It could be nice if taken much better care of. Clutter...

Advertised as a B&B, more like a farm cabin. Breakfast consisted of fresh breads (they were tasty but we were looking for more). Cabin was dirty. We had a baby along that wanted to crawl on the floor and he got filthy. If you want a farm experience, go for it. As a B&B, way over priced.

My husband and I, along with some friends, enjoyed a beautiful canoe trip down the Kickapoo River close to the Trillium. We stayed the night in the Hill House and loved it. We arrived when it was dark out, but the full moon illuminated the beautiful gardens and grazing sheep outside our cottage. After a peaceful night's sleep, we wandered...

We agree with most of the review except perhaps the comments about the stocked fridge. We would recommend buying groceries (Viroquois at 10 miles has some stores for example). The (very friendly) owners did bake us fresh muffins and scones in the morning and we had butter and milk in the fridge but that was the extend of it (not...

We stayed in the large cottage. It was early spring and the fire felt good. The beds were fine and we slept very well. We cooked the fresh eggs and ate warm buns cooked that morning and delivered to our door. The animals were very friendly and great fun to pet and feed. The house is a vast collection of...

We traveled to the Kickapoo Valley and stayed here one night. Over all we enjoyed the cottage but there were pros and cons travelers should know about. Pros: Friendly owners, we were allowed to feed the animals, large property, great location for canoeing (off site) and hiking, large kitchen, refrigerator stocked with organic milk, juice, eggs and butter, continental breakfast...

Trillium offers two Cottages. We staid in Grandma`s Cottage which is surrounded by trees. It has a very nice porch which we really liked. Unfortunately, the cottage itself is very outdated. The cottage was not cleaned very well and the dishes, pots etc were very old. In some cases they could not be used anymore. We staid there with two...

“Not a modern cabin, but still very nice. The owners are organic and energy efficient. Nothing wrong with that. Help save the planet!!”
