Stayed at this lodge recently during a stay up north for a family wedding. This lodge is very rustic and didn't feel like the room had not been updated for about 30 years. Smelt very musty in the room and needed to be aired out. The staff was very nice and food from restaurant very good.

Our group of five stopped here one night while on a U.P. waterfall trip. It was really nice! It definitely is a throwback to times gone by..brought back lots of memories from my youth! The one thing that stands out to me the most is how clean it was! The rooms are dated, think 1970's lodge feel, but lovely none... More

This is such a charming place. We got a suite. Pine walls and King Stove are from days gone by. The owners love there place and we're very helpful. If you want a unique experience this is it. Good bar. Nice food in restaurant. Very clean rooms.

There are not many choices in Land O Lakes. This is very basic and rustic but clean. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a small seating area/kitchen. After checking in, drive around back to park and enter. Wi fi was a bit spotty in our room and better in the hallway

This lodge has been here for decades. Very well maintained; main dining room looked wonderful; but we were there on a Monday & dining room was closed. Desk staff was there & was friendly. The facility is beautiful; up-north timber/woodsy decor with taxidermy; seemed very clean & upscale. We didn't stay overnight. ... We visited their sporting clays target shooting... More

Stayed here one night in a suite room on the first floor. Were surprised that our room for 3 was one double and a pull out couch. Apparently we were in one of the rooms that were not updated but it was clean, smelled good and we all slept well. Linens were a bit threadbare. The front desk woman who... More

The Gateway Lodge is across the street from a BP gas station at the entrance to the town of Land O' Lakes, WI (or "Lando" to the locals.) It is a traditional hunting lodge, with its own restaurant inside. Having a restaurant is a huge bonus, as dining establishments are rather scarce around Lando. You won't find any typical fast... Rustic and traditional. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Restaurant experience was magnificent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The April half-price special was much appreciated. We'll come back!

Great place to stay for a snowmobile trip. Half the group flew up in King Air, and found room to hanger it. Walked to the Lodge. Rented sleds across the street. Walking distance. Also a few hundred yards away is the BP gas station. They sell Wi. And Michigan trail permits. Very handy. The lodge staff is nothing but helpful... More

The room we reserved for the night of our wedding was not available despite confirming the room twice prior to the wedding. The staff and manager were less than apologetic. Total lack of customer service skills. After asking for a resolution the groom and I were offered a different room with two twin beds and "maybe we could get a... More
