My wife and I have never stayed in a B&B before and we're always hesitant in doing so. We thought we would try this as a new venture on our road trip around Lake Michigan . From the moment we met Heidi (manager) and her warm greeting to the stunning entrance way with high ceilings and woodwork that I haven't... More

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed in. The house is a beautiful mansion with a great history. All of the downstairs is available to guests. There's an "honor bar," a full bar with bottles of wine, liquor, and all mixers. A price list is on the counter where you can write down what you had. Reasonable... More

Hotels in the area were booked so we looked for a B & B...so glad we did as this was a terrific place to stay. All the rooms were different and very well decorated. The house was right across from the river so we could go for nice walks. The downstairs had a very comfortable living area that we took... More

This is a beautiful place-so ornate, like a fairytale. I loved that it was private, the staff worked quietly in the background. We only stayed one short night but the balcony room was a spacious retreat. Loved the honor bar set up, loved breakfast. If our travels ever take us this way again I would again choose to stay here.... More

We were on a 7 day bike ride and stayed at a B&B every night. This place was just average compared to the rest. Staff is minimal so if you have a problem with anything, you are on your own. The website gives the illusion of a restaurant that also does private affairs. They only do private affairs and dining... More

We stayed at the Lauerman House in on 9/7 and 9/8/2014. We had the balcony Suite. We were in the area to do a tour the waterfalls. The B&B-This is a beautiful Victorian Mansion that had recently been painted on the outside. The furnishings were a surprise, even though we had seen a few pictures online. The mixture of antiques,... More

What a relief - a beautifully restored Victorian mansion that isn't all flowers and lace. This place is CLEAN, filled with period antiques, original woodwork and windows, well kept yard and porches, antique fixtures but jazzed up with art deco-style pieces, rugs and lamps, splashes of color! Heidi, the innkeeper was energetic and enthusiastic, warmly greeting us, giving us helpful... More

I stayed at the inn the last two nights on business. I have had TERRIBLE experiences at every chain hotel in this area in the past year and was anxious to arrive somewhere decent. I was not disappointed. The staff member made a point to make a fire for me prior to leaving for the evening (both evenings) and took... More

This guesthouse is actually one of two that the owner, Jean, has. We made the mistake of taking a room at her other property in Marinette. I say mistake because while it is a couple of blocks to downtown there is mostly just closed business's downtown. In addition, the area is not a place I would feel safe walking around... More

We were told of what was going on for New Year and decided to return. They had a dinner that was second to none. Being we drove the 260 miles that day, we stayed there overnight. As in the last post, it was so nice to be back that soon. There are two B&B's that Jean owns and I can't... More
