We were invited for a God-daughter's graduation in Mellen and quickly discovered most of the local motels in Ashland were booked so we decided to try out a B&B. We stayed for two nights. We arrived at 4pm and Cindy and LeRoy were outside with a fire started. It was drizzling out and the weather for the weekend was predicted...

My wife and I chose to stay here during our one year anniversary. Cindy and Leroy are very inviting, and the place is beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and the dessert at night with wine or the chokecherry cordial was a real treat. We also came home our last night to prosecco and champagne flutes in our room! An excellent...

We came to see the Ice Caves and stayed here. Fantastic place to stay, great rooms, and a great breakfast. I really enjoyed staying here and would love to stay again in the future. They have a really inviting atmosphere and there is so much to do here. Make sure you get directions from them because google maps and gps...

I was visiting family in the Mellen area, so needed a place to stay. Penokee Mountain Inn was a fabulous choice - it is truly a hidden oasis. Despite that, it was big city (but homecooked) food. The hosts/owners are so very warm, friendly, and thought of my needs even before I did. The accommodations are very, very clean, amidst...

My first experience with the Penokee Mountain Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. Centrally located just south of Ashland WI. and just west of Copper Falls State Park. The Inn is only minutes away from National North Country National Scenic Trail and other beautiful hiking opportunities. Shopping , dinning and chartering a island tour in Bayfield WI is a...

While searching for another B&B to stay in, we were referred to The Penokee Mountain Inn by another booked up innkeeper. After a nice scenic drive down a dirt road and through a driveway thick with trees, we arrived at the inn. Shaded in a beautiful, flower filled yard, we met our hostess who quickly gave us directions to a...

My husband and I own our own resort and are very picky about what we are looking for and cleanliness. We could not have possibly asked for a nicer place to stay than LeRoy and Cindy's cabin. It was own of the best weekends we have ever spent together and the best setting. Cindy and LeRoy's attention to detail is...

Cindy and Leroy were great hosts and should be proud of their inn. We stayed in the cabin with our one year-old. It was perfect for us. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and could easily sleep four people. It was really nice to be able to use the kitchen in the cabin too. Cindy's breakfasts were delicious and we...

I highly recommend this cozy, charming inn. We stayed in the beautiful log cabin built by the owners, but they also have rooms inside. Breakfast was delicious, as were the nightly desserts. The owners are so kind and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. There are hiking trails and waterfalls nearby, and it's within easy driving of Copper Falls sate...
