I was having so much trouble getting an elevator to fit on a busy day and one of the nicest male employees, his name is Darron, was willing to help me get an elevator. He was a very sweet man. There staff here is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be looking into coming and staying here again.

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel was ideal for location and quality of room. Since it was over 100 years old, the interior design and amenities was beautiful, and I appreciate the ambience. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

My wife was traveling to Milwaukee and I wanted to surprise her with a bottle of champagne and a personalized poem waiting for her in the room. I wasn't sure if this was a possibility but the hotel had zero objections and was extremely responsive. Frank was awesome in arranging the Champagne and April at the front desk printed out the poem and made sure everything was setup in the room. Absolutely positive people and if ever in Milwaukee, we know where we will be staying as we know the people at the Hilton are willing to go above and beyond to help their guests. Thanks again April and Frank!

This was a grande dame of a place when it was built. The location by the convention center is excellent. Rooms and guest experience are completely lacking. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and I would never stay there unless someone else is picking up the bill! Executive lounge? Closed. Threadbare rooms that haven’t been updated in 30 years. Stay away!

The hotel front desk staff is amazing!! Thank you Haley for making my daughters stay with you outstanding. I really appreciate how everyone is very attentive and caring!!! You all went out of your way to make sure she had everything she needed. Thank you for the kind card and flowers!! This kind gesture helped lift her spirits when she needed it.

Came to this hotel and it started out as a bad experience with the front desk staff and when checking out I spoke to Ethan Hamilton the Director of Front Office and he explained everything and cleared it all up for me. He was attentive and understanding of the situation and made sure I left better than I walked in. I will recommend this hotel. Ask for Ethan

I came here for the WIDA conference, and while this hotel was booked back in April by my school, I wish I would have done some research. Tuesday night upon arriving I was greeted by the glit and glamour of the 1920's as found in the main lobby. Check in was fast and easy. The old shaky elevators were less than charming. I was disapointed when I opened the door to the room I would be spending the next three nights in. A narrow hallway led to a small bedroom filled with bulky old furniture. All drawers in the dresser and night stands were open, a musty smell filled the air, and a small block moth flitted above the bed. The extra small bathroom contained a constantly dripping sink, toiletries that had already been used, a tub that had black mold on the tiles, and ultra thin towels. But thats not all folks: a constant presence of being watched hung in the room. I ate a caramel apple I purchased at the airport in Minneopolis, only to constantly look behind me to see who was there. At first I figured I was just creeped out by my environment, but each night got weirder. And to top it all off, when I turned the bedding down to sleep that night someone else's hair lay curled up on the pillow. Because there were no charging ports in the room, it allowed me to hang outside of the room to charge my cell and apple watch. Staying busy with the conference and visiting a couple of museums also enabled me to stay out of the room as much as possible. On the second night, I was texting my husband because for some odd reason we could text, but we could not call in or out when in the room. It was in between texts while holding my phone that I could feel someone over my shoulder reading what I had typed. It was then that someone or something started scrolling through the photos on my phone. In an attempt to bring some happy vibes into the space, I turned off my cell and opened my tablet to YouTube. I watched a video that contained Lisaland enjoying her day at Disneyland. The video finished, so I clicked on the YouTube home page to see what other videos would show up on my homescreen. This is when someone or something else scrolled and picked the next video. This is the moment when I didn't want whoever was there to see me freak out; I did my best to go with the flow: I watched the whole video, and did not let on that I knew they were there. I now this sounds crazy to write, but as I told my husband later...I didn't want "them" to know I was aware of them. Have I ever seen or believed in ghosts prior to this? Nope. But did I watch a video with a spirit who wanted to know the secrets of Disneyland as told by a guy in a shirt and tie? Yes, Yes I did. The third and last night was the hardest. I hardly slept as I hid under the sheets and pretended to sleep while I listened to movement in the hallway and around the room. I recall one moment when I awoke to hear someone entering, I felt hyper aware as the hairs on my arm stood up. I felt like a little kid who was scared of the unknown, and continued to pretend I was sleeping and unware of a presence being there. Friday morning came, instead of going to the last day of conference, I checked out and promptly went to the airport. My husband was surprised I didn't say anything to hotel staff or that I didn't check out and go somewhere else. I guess I thought I would be perceived as crazy, and the school had spent money on this room...hard to say. I did tell my husband that the spirits didn't feel mean or wicked. They were just super curious, and as the last night rolled around, I was mentally done and ready to go home. This was my review in a long nutshell. Could I ay more? Sure but that's all I'll write for now.

I went to run the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon on October 1st. I made my reservation two months in advance and use the points I had with Hilton Honors. The check in supposed to be at 3 pm. They gave me the key room until 8 ish pm. The excuse was that the room was ready but someone needed to confirm it was ready. The. The room they gave me was above a floor with meeting rooms where they have loud music until 11 ish pm. It was a lot of drink noisy people in the floor I stayed and called many times to receptionist/ concierge and nobody responded. Of course, I couldn’t sleep well. I provided feedback to receptionist in person, in the Hilton honor app and today is the day I have not heard back from them. Big hotel, old facilities and rooms, not enough workers, not caring for clients and bad customer services.

This is one of the finest Hilton properties in America. The staff are well trained, professional and courteous. The building has an old world charm and the rooms are comfortable and clean and well designed. The bars and restaurants are also comfortable and serve excellent food and drinks. Just a great experience. Thank you

My room was tiny. Basically could roll off the bed and be sitting at the desk or roll off the bottom of the bed and be in the bathroom. Was expensive, just didn't seem worth it. A lot of construction outside of the hotel currently which made it a bit difficult to get around. Stayed here for work. Will avoid staying here again.
