I was really surprised by this hotel. It is in the Old Gimbels department store, so it has that grand old feel. The location is really nice, right along the river and great views to boot. You can go right out the back door of the hotal to get to the river esplanade. Like all residence inns, complimentary wifi and...

Travelled to Milwaukee for the first time for a 3-day business trip. Hotel was the perfect location! Right on the river walk! Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Jordan. He always greeted us with a smile and helped with directions to nearby restaurants. Another staff member arranged for a van to pick us up and take us to a...

We stayed here last weekend and loved it. Room was huge with a King size bed that looked so small because room was so large. Our room overlooked the Riverwalk, beautiful at night, the view was terrific. We were on the 7th floor, elevators very efficient. Breakfast good in morning, staff all very friendly and willing to do whatever was...

We stayed here last weekend and loved it. It was roomy and light. The bed was comfortable and the views from the room could not be beat. We had a corner room on the 7th floor with a great view of the river and a far view of the art museum by the lake. Really enjoyed the area and being...

I stayed here for 2 nights while on business. The location is within walking distance to many different restaurants along the canal. Parking is located underground and is very safe. Your roomkey is required to enter and exit the building. Breakfast and happy hour were great and free! The rooms were very nice and large.

Stayed here in late July 2013. The hotel is located in the center of downtown Milwaukee, beside the river, right on the Riverwalk. It's within walking distance of 3rd ward just a few minutes across the river as well as other bars and restaurants in the area such as John Hawks Pub. The lakeshore and Lakeshore State Park are about...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while attending a wedding in Milwaukee. We called approx 3 months before the wedding and was told that the room they had available with the special wedding rate was a king with a sleeper sofa. We were traveling with our two adult daughters so this room size would not work for us....

We chose this hotel online, not really knowing much about downtown Milwaukee. What a pleasant surprise; we really liked it and will definitely return. Housed in a former department store (first, Gimbel's, then Marshall Field's before it became a Residence Inn in 2001), it's an architectural gem. Love the high ceilings, spacious windows and bright light. We needed a 2br,...

We stayed here in late June when attending Summerfest. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite without asking. Lovely hotel that was formerly a Gimbel's/Macy's store. High ceilings. Nice spacious rooms, comfortable bed. Walking distance to the Summerfest grounds if you don't mind a hike. The complimentary breakfast buffet wasn't exactly gourmet, but certainly had lots of variety -- something for...

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Milwaukee and Chicago. Hotel was very clean, and well maintained. We had a suite that included a parking package for an additional $10 per night. Very good idea as parking can be at a premium downtown. Hotel staff was helpful, even making suggestions for our day trip to Chicago. The breakfast and evening...
