We enjoyed our stay on the water. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Though a little outdated it fits with the quaint feeling of this hotel. The food was delicious and generous. The views were beautiful.

I agree with the above answers. Not much of a tourist destination.A better choice is Milwaukee. It offers a variety of big city amenities including a walkable downtown riverfront area, lots of restaurants and micro breweries. Other attractions are the art museum on the lakefront, the history museum and the "domes," an inside/outside horticultural park, and a world famous zoo.
