We stayed in the Holiday Too across the road from the main hotel. Our room was on the first floor, so the ceilings were normal height, but we did go up the stairs and experience the fairly short ceilings on the second level - would not have worked for my 6'1" husband. The accommodations were adequate, but nothing too special....

when i was laying and bed and felt something, i thought it may be bugs, couldnt sleep well. spider webs, spiders and bugs readily available, hall carpet was in need of vacuum cleaner, never again, i feel like i have been totally ripped off, should have asked for discount or money back.

I paid $160 for a bare basics room in the main building.Never book a room here without seeing it first. It is shameful that they charged this much money without even a bad cup of coffee. Unless you have a serious reason for staying on Washington Island, I would recommend staying on the mainland or sleeping in your car before...

Our family has been vacationing on Washington Island for years and when there we always look forward to the Friday Night Fish Dinner and Burger Sunday. Never disappointed. The resort has a warm ambience provided by the decor, the owners, and the waitstaff, all of whom work hard to make patrons feel welcome. The food is invariably good and the...

Stayed at the FHI on a whim on a road trip to Washington Island. We stayed at the main hotel. Yes it was off-season, and the hotel was empty. Staff was very very friendly. The rooms are small and very homey. The beds creak and the mattress is soft, and the TV is a 9" tube. But its the experience...

DO NOT stay across the street in one of the two overflow buildings!! I know Washington Island is rustic, and we made last minute reservations but decided to give it a try. Our building was old, dated, dirty and actually scary looking. The room smelled stale and musty, all night. No air. Spider living happily in a web in the...

We stayed at Findlay's Holiday Inn at the main lodge in late July 2015, and were very pleased with our decision. There are limited lodging options on Washington Island, and you don't come here to stay in a luxury 5 star hotel so it doesn't seem fair for other reviewers to rate this establishment poorly. Our room was on the...

We were stuck in Holiday Too for three nights. We left after two nights and don't care if we get our money back for the third night or not. Rustic is not the word. It was flthy. We are currently washing everything we had in the room in hot water. The room was dirty. Green/blue mold on the sink faucets....

Their website wasn't up and running when I booked, but was under the impression is was an actual Holiday Inn. It was not. Our room was wide open when we came in, there was brown stains on the sheets, water dripping from the faucet in the shower, dead spiders on the bathroom floor, and we couldn't even open the window...

It was not bad, but a bit pricey for what you get. The moldy shower curtain should have been changed. :( It was quiet and the owners were friendly. The Holiday too building looks like an old general store. A bit creepy. We stayed in a water view room and bargained on the price.
