We stayed at the Ranch at U Cross as part of a Tauck Tour of Jackson Hole - Yellowstone - Mt. Rushmore, and this is a place I plan to revisit. The hospitality is like we were long lost family members - the owner warmly greeted our tour and took time to talk with each of us over the next...

From Yellowstone National Park to Buffalo Bill's Wild West town of Cody, we headed onward to the old cattle town of Clearmont in Wyoming and stayed one night at the UCROSS Ranch. It is a unique Ranch Style Hotel and the rooms were a bit small but homely and comfortable. There was even a very comfortable "Rocking Chair" in my...

Beautiful stay 1/2 way between Cody and rapid City. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Only TV was in pool house. Fishing is free; horseback riding is extra. Pool is heated. Very relaxing break from sightseeing. Not many rooms; most used by bus tour.

We stayed one night at the Ranch at U Cross recently as part of our escorted tour. Our group had the entire facility to ourselves. Quite frankly, I wasn't sure what to expect at a ranch, but we were completely charmed with what we found! As our bus pulled in, the managers and staff, along with their friendly German Short...

A positive experience from the outset and it just got better as we went along. A couple of exuberant dogs heralded our arrival before our hosts joined us for a very warm welcome. Our room was beautifully appointed with a clean and functional bathroom. There is also a relaxed dining area and bar, and a lounge room where wholesome hot...

A great place to stay when trying to break up a long trip between Yellowstone & Rapid City. The food was good & the room was clean & comfortable. In addition, the horse ride was a nice touch to a fun day. They offered a fishing activity, but I did not have time to enjoy. PS: The service was excellent.

From the staff greeting upon arrival to the very nice cozy rooms. This is a great place to stay. The Dining room was comfortable and the staff was extremely efficient. This is a great place to stay. Horse back riding and outdoor camp fires add to the western ambiance.

We went here to hunt but had a great time at the ranch. Eric and Vicky are the best hosts. We had breakfast every morning and a great dinner every night. The room was nice and clean. Eric is a good hunt guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. He went over and above to assure a great time...

We stayed 1 night at the Ranch at Ucross as part of an organized tour which also included a buffet dinner & a buffet breakfast the next morning. For dinner the Trout Fillet, Scalloped Potatoes & Apple Crumb Pie were all very good. For breakfast the biscuits & sausage gravy were good. The buffet is not large although adequate, and...

Dear GEMSCAT, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I was sorry to hear that you were displeased with the soap/water at the ranch. Being as far out as we are, the water can feel a little slick. It is clean but does have a minute sulfur content. We are happy that you enjoyed...

In my opinion, Ranch at Ucross is One of the best places to stay in the region. The Ranch is located within a beautiful environment of rolling hills and meadows. Food is excellent and plentiful; served in a very nice and intimate restaurant. Some of the amenities include fishing on a pond or a spring, Horseback riding on well trained...
