Stopped in Cody on way to Yellowstone. After driving past the brand new Super 8 (which I would usually not consider) and seeing the Big Bear Motel, we almost turned around --- afraid it would be the typical low-budget motel. However, it was just fine. We were in a newly built section with a spacious 2-Q room with room for...

Big Bear Motel? LOVED IT! It may only rate as a 2 star, but, it was a great find in Cody, Wyoming. The room was very clean and comfortable and had nice touches like hand-hewn wood trim and wood towel bars, hooks, etc. It also had a great outdoor pool and was very refreshing when the mercury reached 96F. The...

This place was our most memorable hotel on our trip to Yellowstone. It is clean, quiet, and a great place for kids. We did indeed get a free pony ride for my younger daughter and a couple of riding lessons for my two older daughters. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make...

My wife and I stayed in a king room on the ground floor for one night. The room was quiet. We did not hear the occupants next door or above us. The room had a microwave and mini-refrigerator. There is a standard motel through the wall HVAC unit that operated well and fairly quiet. It appeared that the room had...

Clean, good place to sleep. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good recommendations from them on what to see and where to go in Yellowstone. If you're looking for a good sleep and don't need a lot of "frills", this is a good choice. I think you'll find this place very family friendly as well. Very close to Yellowstone, so it was...

Clean motel with fun atmosphere. Has nice outdoor pool and playground that was a hit with the kids and throw in pony ride as well. My family enjoyed the rodeo and free BBQ dinner the motel hosted for the Fourth of July. Daughter even rode pony in local parade thanks to the generosity of the clerk and the boots and...

This place surprised me. We rolled into Cody around dinner time after driving most of the day. The "downtown" motels were more than we wanted to pay, and the. And the campground had RVs parked two feet apart. We drove a bit out of town and happened on the Big Bear motel. Front desk staff was very friendly and the...

This hotel is in the heart of cowboy country. The reception staff very helpful and friendly, they gave us good advise on our journey the day we departed. Complimentary coffee served in the morning and there is a cafe cross the road that severs a good, cheap breakfast. The room was okay and clean. We went to Cody Rodeo, its...

This motel is in a great location if you are heading out to Yellowstone's East Entrance, or if you are going to the rodeo (it's right next door). We were on our way to Yellowstone, so just stayed one night. Our room was basic, but very clean. Great water pressure and instant hot water (I love that!). Our kids enjoyed...
