Clean room, all conveniences included such as micro, fridge, coffee maker, alarm clock, a hair dryer, comfortable bed AND nice, friendly owners - what more can one ask for? Yes, the decor is dated - although not shabby - besides, I don't "sleep" for decor! I had a spacious room with 2 places for my suitcase, a desk, large mirror,...

CJ and I arrived after dark in Douglas, road weary to the point of near-exhaustion from a 400+ mile, multiple stops drive that originated in North Dakota. Finding the mid-level motels sprouting no vacancy signs or demanding exorbitant rates, we opted for the Four Winds. The nice lady at the desk had quoted a rate of just fifty bucks over...

Hard to know what to say. Clean, had what we needed, sort of. Very old and worn. Small bathroom, small commode. Okay for one night and the price was right compared to everything else in town. Good idea to have your shampoo and soap. Bars of soap were smallest I have ever seen. A/C worked well which is always a...

Ok, so its not a fancy hotel, but in Douglas WY, there isn't much I would consider fancy. However, this little place fit the bill for our tired bodies after a day of travels. Beds were fairly comfortable, had a selection of different firmness pillows, had the air conditioning on already for us (as it was warm and muggy out),...

I almost stayed at one of the large hotels at the edge of Douglas but this place has a retro appeal. When I checked in and the owner told me the price for a night I became concerned that the room would be a dump. My concern was wrong. The room was very nice! This place is a great value...

Just your basic "ma & pa" motel. Called them for directions and she was very courteous. Check in was just fine...he didn't have much to say but was not rude. If I had any complaint which is a bit petty...a little heavy on the air freshener. the first time I ever seen a time release air freshener in the room....

Even after reading other Tripadvisor reviews, we were hesitant to try this older motel. It's a little out of the way and has a few maintenance issues but all we wanted was a clean place for overnight and it met our needs. Because of the oil development, rooms in Douglas are very expensive and it's not worth $50-60 more to...

Judging from the other reviews, the rooms vary quite a bit even though the price point is the same. Our room was very small, even for a single, and at $65/night appears to be what many paid for a much larger double room. Overall, the experience was acceptable: the fridge and microwave were old and falling apart a bit but...

Back in November 2012, I made a reservation to stay at the Four Winds on May 18, 2013. But upon arrival early evening May 18, the friendly man at the front desk apologized. The hotel had to cancel my reservation due to other guests staying for many nights. I was dumbfounded, and my jaw dropped. Doesn't this hotel use a...

The typical road motel, an absolute must if you are travelling by car in the USA. The room was big and very well furnished, with AC, a small fridge, a coffee machine; the bathrom was clean. Good pick if you want a cheap solution.
