Although this business still goes by the business name Glamping on the River, we actually stayed in one of two cabins under the title Cabin on the Wind. From the outside appearance, one would not be impressed immediately with this antique cabin, but the inside of the hundred-year-old cabin opens up to a lovely living room, a recently renovated kitchen without outstanding appliances, a comfy bedroom, a nicely renovated bathroom and a laundry room with the latest washer & dryer. The decor is perfectly western and hostess, Claudia, assures all your needs are met. It is conveniently located across from a small grocery store and in walking distance to several terrific restaurants (including an outstanding steakhouse), a Dollar General, a post office, as well as the National Bighorn Sheep Center.

We took a little stay-cation at Glamping on the River, and from the moment we arrived to pulling out of the driveway the next day, it was perfection. The hosts are so friendly and hospitable. The hot tub is divine, the cooking arrangements just what you need. Slow your mind and warm your heart along the Wind River in Dubois. You'll never want to leave!!

Bit hard to find initially but wow, really nice setup right on the Wind River. The trout were jumping as we sat next to the river around the fire pit, which was all set up just waiting to be lit and enjoyed. Plenty of firewood as well. The Airstream is a little rustic but very well fitted out and enjoyable. Lovely sitting by as the river lulls you to sleep.

My family stayed at the lil cabin on the wind Aug 6-9. Overall the cabin was fantastic, the perfect size for a family of 3. The cabin had all the amenities, that you could hope for, including cooking utensils, basic appliances and a washer and dryer! There was also a BBQ grill for use, although it was a shared space with the larger cabin. The location was really close the river, it was a really peaceful spot. The only downside is the family that was staying in the larger cabin wasn't that friendly so it was super awkward when we were using the grill or in the fire pit area, because it is closer to their cabin. We stayed her basically for a good rest stop between visiting the Tetons and Yellowstone. It was kind of far, but it is a really lovely drive to the national parks. For the price, you really can't beat such an awesome deal, it really is beautiful!

First off the owners are super nice. The new washing machine was still being installed, so the owner did our laundry for us! There was no TV which I found perfect, to push our family to play board games and read. The inside is all remodeled, also with new appliances. It looks little on the outside, but you'll be surprised how big it is on the inside.
