We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Mad Carpenter Inn! The Inn keepers, Lawrence and Danny, were so gracious. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast. Our room, The Blossom, was very comfortable and loved the charm of the common area with it's sculptured ceiling and beautiful gardens. Lawrence and Danny gave great suggestions for dinner and sightseeing, including The Ivinson... More

We stayed two nights in this beautiful B&B. As befits the name, everything is lovingly fashioned in wood. I had serious staircase envy! We chose the Doll House, a separate little cottage at the back, which gave us loads of space to spread out, but we could still go over to the main house for breakfast, served by owners Laurence... I was on my first solo trip and chose Laramie as my stopover spot between Jackson Hole and Denver. I found the The Mad Carpenter through the high recommendations on Trip Advisor. Everyone was right - great room, warm and friendly hosts, delicious breakfast and a perfect location for walking from the B n B to any one of the... More

I loved staying at the Mad Carpenter! I hate to brag too much because I plan on staying here a lot over the next 3 years as my son will be studying at Univ of Wyoming, and I plan on this being my "home away from home", and I don't want it to be too full!!! The hosts were fabulous... More

We stayed just 1 night in the Mad Carpenter but would have been very happy to stay longer . The accommodation was very clean, the proprietors very welcoming and friendly , the breakfast was healthy and very tasty. The location is about a 10 min walk to downtown

This place is outstanding. I stayed in what they call "The Dollhouse", no dolls, just some of the most unbelieveable wood craftsmanship I have ever seen. Even my son walked in and said "Holy Crap!" All the comforts of home, extremey well kept, modern everything, comfortable, even a game room.. It's also basically across the street from U of W.... More

We followed all the other excellent reviews when we chose the Mad Carpenter Inn, Laramie's only B&B. It is spotlessly clean, located just a few blocks from downtown in a lovely neighborhood adjacent to the University. Your hosts Danny and Lawrence are wonderful-super friendly and helpful. Breakfast cannot be beat-fresh fruit, yogurts, granolas, homemade cobbler, french toast and waffles-and the... More

A wonderful small B&B. Friendly proprietors, very tasty breakfast, very convenient for U Wyoming campus (1 block), short walk to town (1/2 mile), charming rooms (I stayed in the two-story detached room with a wooden spiral staircase), game room with pool and ping-pong and ...

We stayed in the Doll House for a couple nights and were very pleased with our experience! Lawrence and Danny are wonderful hosts and make the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Their are friendly and make wonderful breakfasts :) Located between the University and Downtown, the Inn is conveniently close to everything. The Doll House is my favorite room here... More

This B&B would be great no matter if it was in Italy, France, or Laramie Wyoming. The owners, Lawrence and Danny, are the reason. But it is a uniquely Wyoming place. We stayed in the Whimsy room, which was very clean, tastefully decorated, and large. It was well set up. Lots of plugs for charging, good fast WiFi, clean bathroom... More
