We chose Hatchet for a one night stay before taking a horsepack trip into the Teton Wilderness. It was not to far from the airport and close to our start point. Hatchet was quite nice, very laid back, recently refurbished, and very affordable.

My daughter and I enjoyed the cute room, good beds, quiet. Didn't have a issue with some of the problems others described. However, we agree it is not all you would expect of a "resort" and the wifi charge we paid did not work.

wild fires closed the south gate a few days ago. Driving time to Yellowstone is about an hour, but 1 hr 40 to the main attractions at Yellowstones centre.

Yes for Jackson Hole & Tetons but as Yellowstone is very big my wife and I stayed just outside the park so we could make the most of the day.
