I first wrote this as excellent place before I found out what it was really like I made my opinion on check in with Ivan and the room was good. After staying the night and dealing with the on site manager it was pathetic. I would not wish this hotel on my worst enemy. The manager is shady and they did not run the breakfast time stated, it was scheduled for 7 to 9 and at 8:15 when we went down, it was already closed. The pool was closed for cleaning at checkin but yet it never opened and the water was crystal clear but they just wouldn’t open the door. I fell getting into the tub because the bathroom floor and the tub was so slick. I hurt myself and I wanted to file a report with the manager when I left in the morning for documentation. He was sleeping in the hotel and the maid who was running the front desk had to wake him up. Check out ended up taking over two hours and a visit from The sheriffs department because the manager was very shady and kept lying and he also would not return an ID to a person who had checked in the night before and left it on the front desk so he had to report the stolen id. The hotel management needs to get rid of the shady on site manager and this could be a good hotel to stay in. I even saw a lady angry because they wouldn’t even tell her what her rate was because no one there knew because the manager and he was up in his room sleeping and the cleaning staff running the desk did not have training to access the information. I am shocked that this hotel remains part of the Choice hotel line. I have been a Choice member for a long time and expect good hotels from them when choosing my stays. I think I will be looking for other hotel lines in the future.…
The check in with Ivan was excellent and his customers skills are above and beyond. The hotel room is updated, very clean, nice and comfortable. After 12 hours of driving it was nice coming in and just relaxing and having such clean, wonderful comfort.
I spent a couple of weeks staying here during the week working remotely while heading into the Winds for some backpacking over the weekend. Even though the hotel was in the process of transitioning to a Choice Hotel and were understaffed, I was happy with my stay here. Sean and Kevin were very accommodating with late check-outs or getting me into the room early. Overall, it was a good basic hotel that was comfortable, convenient, and inexpensive place to base out of.
Tried to stay in Jackson Hole, but all hotels outrageously priced.I.e. $400 to $600 a night..even Motel 6 was $256. This hotel was 63 miles out of our way but was reasonable ($130). The drive was worth the inconvenience…beautiful. Clerks went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Room has fridge, microwave. We bought a TV dinner from the store next door ( we arrived very late in the evening so many places were closed) By 9 pm this hotel was fully booked. The do have a sort of mini breakfast..granola bars, coffee. This is a great place to stay.
