Back door from stairwell didn't lock - definitely a security problem. Guests upstairs very loud, screaming match under our window early in the morning - not a lot of noise proofing in this cheaply constructed building.. Terrible coffee. Terrible tea. Saggy, mushy mattress.
Compared to other Wyndham properties, this one was not that great and more expensive. Lobby and outside looks great, room was a little different. Bed needs to be replaced, carpet was very stained. Kid was riding a bike through the lobby when I checked in, kids running up and down halls or in rooms, could hear in my room. Not impressed. Will go back to La Quinta's next time.
The only good things about this hotel are the exterior design and the pool. The room carpets are beyond old and beyond disgusting. Its disgraceful to actually live atop such filth. The chairs are equally old and disgusting. Completely stained. These carpets and chairs wouldnt even be wanted for free on a curb, and we're actually paying to degrade ourselves like this. All of the hallway carpets and borders are coated with paint dust from who knows how long ago. The "fitness center" is a complete sham. There is a treadmill, bench and eliptical all jammed in next to eachother in this tiny room. The only weights are these two absurd plastic dumbbells which only have 15 pound on them. Anyone who lifts knows 15 pounds almost pointless. And there is junk all over the dirty floor. The fitness room is part of why I booked and its unusable. There was also an alarm box inside going off nonstop, and of course the clock has no batteries. And the reception was the worst I experienced. Not any sense of politeness, a pretend smile, anything. I spent 5 minutes waiting while two workers ate lunch in the breakfast room and had a long conversation in spanish with front desk worker who was 30 feet away in a back room. 5 minutes of this back and forth conversation. Regardless, theres no excuse for offering filth to members of the community. Its carelessness and incompetence, peroid. I came here after camping 4 days, and instantly regretted not upping my budget. Just look at my pictures. Management doesnt care about their image or members and families of the community. The thought of KIDS on these disgusting carpets and chairs is inconceivable, and clearly the "Wyndham" brand has zero credibility.…
Long story... if I could rate this hotel 0 stars I would. First room toilet seat was broken in half, room was very dirty. They transferred us to another room and it looked like someone had laid on the bed and the lights weren’t working. I went down and talked to the lady (which was useless, you have to press a button for service at the front desk and the lady who was in the back office was listening to the tv so loud she couldn’t hear me. Or she was ignoring me.) Once she finally heard the bell it took her forever to pause her show and come trampling out in her slippers. I asked to be transferred once again and she said she couldn’t transfer us to another room because I booked through Expedia and that I needed to call them. That didn’t work so I went down and talked to her again and she gave us a new room but when I went to use the key for the third room it wouldn’t work. I went down and talked to her again and she finally transferred us to a fourth room and the heater wasn’t working and it was really cold. We didn’t want to bother so we just stayed with that room. A couple of days went by and we ended up staying another night. She told me we could stay in the same room and she would just add the other night. When we got back to the hotel later that night, the key wouldn’t work like she said it would. We looked everywhere for the managers and they were no where to be found. We called both the hotel number and the cell number and neither worked. Finally after 45 minutes of being locked out of our room they finally showed up and said they went out to dinner. They were very rude when I confronted them about our stay with them. I called Expedia and was able to get a partial refund. We packed up that night from the cold and dirty room and went down to the Sundance Motel. The owner was so nice and understanding. The room was super clean and warm. We will definitely stay at the Sundance Motel again. We will not be returning to the Baymont By Wyndham. Baymont looks nice on the outside but once you go in you’ll find yourself in a dirty hotel, with broken appliances and rude owners. Also the lobby has signs that masks are required and neither one of the owners wore a mask. This place should not be allowed to be in business.…
We stayed one night just passing through and the room was ok but it definitely needed an update. The carpet and whole feel of the room was old and the bathroom light didn't work. We had to use the heat lamp to have any light in the bathroom.
