This is a fun place if you want to experience travel as it used to be, with upgrades for today. The hosts are thoughtful in the room details, with hot chocolate and oatmeal packets nicely arranged on the table. The log cabins are still rustic, but have been updated with some nice details to make it more comfortable for the modern traveler. Everything is very clean, and the uniqueness of the property is a nice alternative to generic corporate hotels. After our first night, we booked another on our way back through, driving extra miles to stay at the Log Cabin Motel.

Property's Favourite Review
My wife and i were dead-tired after an 11 day backpack in the nearby Wind River Mtns and were so lucky to land not only the last cabin at the Log Cabin Motel, but likely the last lodging space in all of Pinedale considering the ongoing festivities in town. The staff could see how tired we were so instead of going through the entire enrolling process, just asked us to write down some personal contact information and sent us on our way to clean up and sleep like the dead. Further, we were given an extra hour to check out the next day to just ‘chill’ and enjoy the morning. Because the motel is a block off the main road thru Pinedale, it is quiet and the air is emission-free. Since we were there an extra hour we were witness to an amazingly environmental ‘green’ cleaning process that involved sucking out the air of each room, sanitizing them, and using cleaning products w/o fragrances. Pretty cool. Also, we just liked the down-home atmosphere of the cabins, attention to details, and the convenience of unloading one’s vehicle and stepping directly into one’s cabin w/o having to navigate doors and hallways w/electronic card keys. And, oh yeah, the price was better than the sterile corporate places down the street!

How sweet to hear - first hand - how much you enjoyed your stay with us! Yes, indeed: 11 days backpacking leaves some tired muscles and a need to arrive: we do our very best to give you what you need in the best timing - and let you be "home" in no time. Thank you for your feedback on our "green" commitment (since ever) by using plant based commercially strong cleaning products, steam cleaners, organic blankets and pillows, sustainable cotton linens and duvets, and the best non-volatile disinfectant for Covid-precautions. Fresh air by opening all windows is a normal routine, and last but not least - you may smell some essential peppermint oil in your cabin - a natural critter deferent! Warm regards from all of us.

pleasant staff, great location, quiet and cozy. the wifi worked well, but we'd trade wifi for smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide alarm. our unit had a gas range and gas water heater. the addition of simple life safety devices would make this property great!

Loved this place. Had a nice 2 room cabin with small kitchen and a great front porch. Was given lots of hiking ideas when checked in and also told to look for moose at the park in town. The park in town was walkable from the motel as well as several of the area restaurants and brewery. The pup and I loved ending our day on the front porch with a bone for her and a cocktail for me. Lots of dog friendly hikes close to the area, we explored Half Moon Lake and had a great time.

This was a great value for the money. We stayed at the “offsite” cabin on our way to hike Big Sandy and the Cirque. It was cute, comfortable and cozy. Sofia, the owner, and the staff were awesome. We will definitely stay here again when the time comes!

Thank you very much for your kind feedback and review! We loved having you and were happy the off-site cabin was open. Glad to hear you were able to retract the journey of your dad and did the Cirque. We always welcome you and hope you can add more hikes in the Winds. Warm Regards from all of us!
