It's a different experience driving up through the macadamia farms, but the Inn wouldn't be the same if it were easy to find. We stayed in the Harmony House and weren't disappointed. Lea and Xia prepared excellent breakfasts, and the atmosphere around the Inn was calm and serene, especially along the waterfall and bamboo garden. Don't expect high-end resort level...

Pros: 1. Nice remote setting overlooking waterfall, though not all rooms have view of falls. 2. Nice breakfast served for us in Harmony House with eggs and waffles cooked to order. 3. Sweet woman, Leah, efficiently made breakfast and happily imparted local knowledge. 4. Comfy lounge chair in our bedroom. Cons: 1. NOT a luxury B & B as advertised....

From the waterfall outside our balcony tou the walks in the Bamboo Garden our nature experience was peaceful and grand. On the inside, Lea, our innkeeper, made us feel special and welcome guests. The breakfast prepared for us was perfect. Especially the macadamia nut waffle. We will definitely be back.

The Inn is beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable, and not that hard to find -- in daylight -- although the road is pretty bad. My review has only one real negative, and the problem came only after we had left. My advice is that you do NOT leave without having the bill settled to your satisfaction. I tried to pay the...

We didn't have a waterfall view from our room, but we could still hear it. We could see the ocean over the trees in the distance. The waterfall is amazing. The bamboo gardens are gorgeous. The staff are fantastic. And the breakfast!!! It was so delectable. Those stinking waffles!!! I had a hard time not eating all that they had!...

The road is lousy, and just when you think you've reached the end, there's more. It really is only about a 15-20 drive from the main road in Hilo if you follow the speed limits (and I would suggest doing so for sake of your car and bladder), but, when you get there...WOW!!! The property is beautiful, the views are...

Beautiful place , out in the country , quite - except for the rumbling of the huge waterfall , great breakfast . There is a long drive from the main road but that gets you away from the busy roads . Nice trails and good views of the waterfall .

Truly wonderful! We stayed at Harmony and would stay here again. We loved the Waterfalls! Hearing the falls all night is so peaceful. Our room was very modern and warmly decorated. The view from the Lanai is tremendous. We took a relaxing stroll along the bamboo gardens and down to the bottom of the waterfalls. The next morning we had...

Wife & I were in the Orchid room, Harmony House. Falls in "the back yard." Although not far from Hilo, it was serene, peaceful, spiritual. The road to it is pretty lousy for about a mile near Hilo, but otherwise smooth (if narrow), all paved. About 5 miles from the city, but you would think you had the whole Island...

Although the surroundings were beautiful - our room (Harmony House) was not! Upon arrival - we were informed that our room was next to and we had to walk through the kitchen to reach our room! This was "photoshopped" apparently as a LUXURY RESORT - IT IS NOT. Being assured that the room had been "soundproofed" we agreed to stay...
