In January our family of 4 stayed the the Hilo Honu. The reviews listed reiterate our feelings for this lovely B&B. We booked the Samurai Suite which has 2 rooms (1 king bed & 2 singles), a huge bathroom with 2-person soaking tub and separate shower. The beds are amazingly comfortable - was like sleeping on a cloud. The main...

The Hilo Honu Inn is a wonderful B&B. Gay and Bill, the proprietors, take hospitality to the next level! From the delicious gourmet breakfasts of fresh smoothies, fresh fruit, hot banana bread, and french toast/pancakes, to the beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms, everything here was perfect. Also, the location was very convenient to just about all of the major sights and...

We stayed 3 nights at the Hilo Honu (in the Honu's Nest room), and could not have been happier with our stay. From a warm & friendly, but appropriately low-key welcome (when we arrived following ~18 hours of travel from the mainland) to an invitation to feel free to swing back by the inn later in the day if we...

Our opinions echo what others say. We did our homework (trip advisor and other sites) before we came. We're not great fans of beds and breakfasts, wanting to be on our "own." But it was obvious that the hotels in Hilo do not measure up, I was sold when I called Gay and she gave me all kinds of help...

Staying at the Hilo Honu Inn was truly a delightful experience. Hosts Gay and Bill were more than willing to go above and beyond to accomodate our needs. The breakfasts they serve are SUPERB - delightful smoothies, fresh fruit, and home baked goods (their banana souffle and french toast were SO delicious!). I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone...

We trully enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B. The place is absolutely beatiful. The hosts were very attentive. My only regeret is that we did not stay longer. I would go to Hilo just so that I could stay in this place again. It was a pleasure. I would recommend Hilo Honu Inn to anyone who is looking for...

We stayed at the Bali Hai suite for one night. Very friendly hosts (even including a hula demonstration for breakfast). The room was great - probably the pick of the bunch, and very good value. Location is very handy to town and lots of restaurents. Breakfast was healthy and delicious, my wife even asked for the pancake recipe. No negatives,...

I heard about this B&B from a personal friend who stayed there. We stayed in the Tatami Room. It was wonderful. The view was incredible..I can't imagine there being a better view in Hilo because it's literally the very top house on Haili Street Hill! Bill and Gay, the innkeepers, were charming and hospitable. I particulary enjoyed the homemade banana...

I had to find rooms for fourteen board members and staff for an annual meeting that was taking place on the Big Island. I live on the East coast. I have never traveled to Hawaii and not sure how to facilitate finding rooms with private baths and close to our meeting place. It was a daunting task to say the...
