The two nights we spent at Waianuhea were the perfect end to a 10 day vacation in Hawaii. The property, in a secluded area of Honokaa was perfect to unwind and relax, with carefully manucured garden and pond, excellent breakfast, and exquisit decoration, Waianuhea invetes one to completely unwind. We did manage to venture out and visit the Volcano Island... More

A flawless experience at the Waianuhea: the setting on the mountains and the ocean view are stunning; the property is delightfully designed and furnished. The ecodesign and extensive use of renewable energies is a plus. But, most of all, we appreciated the excellent management and hotel staff, from its friendliness to the care of the small details that make a... More

We had a wonderful time. Everyone was very helpful with our one year old son. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the breakfast was amazing as well as wine hour. We will definitely be returning.

A little off the beaten path but right on everything. The Waianuhea was a fabulous place to stay on the North side of the Big Island. The staff could not be more attentive and the accommodations were lovely. From gourmet breakfasts each morning to wine hour and turn-down service in the evenings, the staff at Waianuhea made our stay very... More

Normally I wouldn’t have chosen to spend just one night anyplace on a trip like this, but this B&B caught my eye from the first time I saw its website. I knew it was too far away to be a good homebase to explore Hilo and VNP, but I also knew that I wouldn’t be happy unless I stayed there!... More

What an amazing B&B! My husband and I stayed here recently (in the Li'ol'io room) for 3 nights during our honeymoon and will absolutely be back...no doubt about it! We were looking for a place off the beaten track so we could have a few peaceful days to relax and that's exactly what we got. The property is gorgeous...we strolled... More

Waianuhea is an exceptional B&B located just a few minutes from the Big Island town of Honoka'a. On the east side of the Big Island, the area is cool and lush green. The building and grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Every member of the staff is a joy to be around, and each is dedicated to creating an outstanding... More

“Every room is nice so depends on price you are willing to pay and how much room you want. I saw go for the space and big room if you plan to spend any time there relaxing.”

“All of the rooms are quite cozy. Two have queen beds, two have kings, and there is a secluded cottage. One of the king bedrooms is by the kitchen, which can make it a little noisy in the morning if you like to sleep in.”
