This 8 room (max 22 people) inn is the old managers house of Parker Ranch. Dated, musty and retro to the hilt, it is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Large rooms filled with antique furniture and wonderful King suze beds, larger bathrooms, balconies, outdoor seating areas, and Grey Gardens overgrown landscaping, it is quiet, restful and great effort has...

We loved the details in the rooms. Ours had an antique 4 poster bed and a huge jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed our private lanai, but also got coffee and pastries at the nearby Waimea Coffee Roasters and sat in the sun on the large front porch enjoying the lovely breezes and views. The owners were very friendly. We felt like...

We stayed at the Jacaranda Inn for our last night on Big Island and were absolutely delighted by it. I will admit to getting some 'The Shining'-style creeps on arrival - the place is very quiet and you have to walk through a beautifully appointed but totally empty main house to find someone to check in with. However, the owners...

This is a nice change from the glitzy resorts of the Kona coast. Beautiful grounds and main house. As other reviewers have noted, this is not a B & B and there isn't a front desk although the owners are around and available. And if you can't live without wifi, this is not the place for you. We stayed in...

This place is an amazing old Ranch House and Inn. If you are looking for a spotless room with modern furnishings this may not be the place for you. On the other hand if you are looking for a chance to experience a little history of a past era you will find this to be a great experience. We spent...

I've driven by this place so many times and wondered what it might be like. I finally got the chance to find out. I spent one night and was in the Vanda room (which is actually a suite). This is a historic home with a fascinating past. My room was quite lovely and I felt a little like I should...

We planned to stay 4 nights. Beautiful location with much potential. We were upgraded and walked into the cottage suite immediately smelling mustiness The bath was redone nicely however we found live cockroaches in the am by the coffee pot. The bedroom was nice if it hadn't been for the overstuffed musty chair. There were doors to close off the...

Stayed for 1 night, wasn't too bad but a little disappointing considering the price. Pros- interesting decor, large bathroom, clean, neat and tidy. Friendly staff. Location ok, 5 mins out of Waimea. Cons- musty room, dated decor, no TV. Overpriced ($200aud)

We stayed in the Passion Flower room in August, and it was wonderful. The room was very clean and neat. There is a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a large shower to boot. There's no television, which I like. It does get cold in Waimea due to its altitude, so beware of that. There are heaters provided. There...
