It's hard to do Kalaekilohana justice in words. As mentioned in many other reviews, the pristine and authentically-Hawaiian experience you'll enjoy starts and ends with your gracious hosts, Kilohana and Kenny. They have built this property from scratch, and their exceptional tastes and touch for hospitality show clearly in every detail of the house and your experience. After first staying... More

This is just a beautiful place. It is wonderful to stay in an Inn actually built by the owners, and Kenny and Kilohana are exceptional hosts. It is a great location for either South Point or Volcanoes, and oh-so relaxing. We took a weaving class from Kilohana and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii, even... More

From arrival, Kenny and Kilohanna made us feel at home. The home they built and decorated illuminates their hospitality philosophy. They have anticipated every need of their guests to make them comfortable. The room designs, the amenities, and the meals are all well planned. They are also available to advise guests on area attractions and restaurants. Each breakfast was a... More

My wife and i have not stayed in many Inns like this, but the experience we had was terrific. All the amenities are in place as stated in other reviews, but what made this place special to us was the hosts, Kenny and Kilohana. We very much enjoyed talking with them each evening on their very comfortable porch and learning... More

Arriving at the Inn we were instantly impressed with the beauty of it just driving up to it. Owners Kilohana & Keni were there to greet us and attend to any wishes we had from the moment we stepped onto their property. We stayed 2 nights at the Inn so we could explore the South end of the island. The... More

We visited this beautiful B&B during our recent trip to The Big Island, and had such a wonderful time staying here. Kenny and Kilohana were such generous hosts and served such delicious meals! They gave us the best info for traveling around where we were staying, what sites to see, and directions to fun local places to hear music and... More

It is hard to know where to start ~ this is one of the best places we have ever stayed! The Inn is beautiful ~ from the guest rooms to the front porch (even the laundry room has extra amenities to make your stay more comfortable). Kenny and Kilohana are the perfect hosts, ready to help you plan your day... More

We stayed three nights. One day we visited the Volcanoes National Park and one day was spent relaxing, and snorkeling at a nearby beach. Our hosts, Kilohana and Kenny were very generous with their advice about where to go and what to see. Everything they suggested worked out beautifully. There was a lot to do so we did not relax... Absolutely, undeniably one of the best places we've ever stayed. Beyond the fact that the house is beautiful in every way, the best porch I've found yet. Beyond the amazing meals it all comes back to 2 hosts Kenny and Kilohana make it the special place it is. If your reading this book it.

We had a great time at the Kalaekilohana Bed and Breakfast. Kenny and Kilohana are the best hosts, always making sure we had what we needed. They had a lot of good ideas and knew all the local attractions and gave us great tips to help us enjoy them. I have never stayed at a B&B before, but I think... More
