We were at the volcano and wanted to find a place for the evening. We were told about Volcano Inn. We had a beautiful garden view from the bedroom which looked like you were living in a jungle. The room was excellent.and the breakfast very good. The staff was very friendly. It was just down the road from the volcano...

Nothing like the pictures the room was like a mile away from the main compound and if you want breakfast you have to drive. There was a bed in the living room the TV had no reception. Paid for two nights but it was so bad we only stayed one. Management didn’t care, would recommend you stay in Hilo and...

The room was excellent. The breakfast was good. But it was a 5 minute drive across a busy road from one to the other. There is no maid service- no problem for us, but it might be for others. It was a pain to have to drive to breakfast, but it was peaceful.

Very, very friendly staff. A little bit expensive for room size. Beautiful garden view room with glass corner walls which allowed us to look at the forest from the bed. Very nice little path in the woods to get to the room. Eco lodge. Wonderful papaya, pineapple, nuts and yogurt breakfast, which started the day really well! Not far at...

Clean, friendly inn that offers a B&B aatmosphere in a beautiful tropical setting. This gen is just a couple of miles from the Park. They offer a great fresh breakfast consisting of fruit & homemade banana bread. Coffee always available. We will be back next time we visit Hawaii.

I hated this place. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but I figured it would be rustic and charming. Wrong. It was stinky, old, and overall just really bad. I've traveled a lot and I've never been to a place that I simply just didn't like anything about, until Volcano Inn. Maybe it's just the Gecko room, I don't know, but...

I enjoyed my 2 days at Volcano Inn. Very clean and very close to the volcano and a couple of nice restaurants. Nice little hot tub for the cold evenings at 4000 feet. Great little spot for 1 or 2 people.

Liked: 1) 5-minute drive to Volcano National Park 2) Lovely grounds, nice hot tub after a day's hike 3) Clean unit Disliked: 1) bed was uncomfortably hard (like futon) and incredibly creaky. 2) Female worker (who turned out to be one of the owners) needs to be a bit more personable. for someone who's in the service industry, she needs...

We had read good reviews so we decided to book two nights while visiting the Volcano National Park. We were very disappointed and left after the first night. The staff was friendly at check in but we were assigned to an unit several blocks from the main inn so we did not get a chance to enjoy the inn's amenities...

We stayed in the Mauna Kea room for 2 nights and really enjoyed out stay. The room was spacious and very clean. The common living area was spacious, warm, very comfortable. the veranda dining area was lovely. microwave, hot and cold water and tea and coffee provided by the hotel, but a toaster would have been really handy! 5 min...
