Spent one night at Tutu's Place just a short trip from the Volcano National Park. It was quaint, clean, cozy and well stocked. I wish we had more time to spend here - it was perfect. Our stay included breakfast at the Main Lodge building - absolutely delicious! We have a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids.... More

Our two-night stay in Volcano was the favorite spot of our ten-day travels across the island. We brought plenty of groceries so we were able to go back and forth to the national park easily. This place was INCREDIBLE - clean, hidden in the jungle, and equipped with everything from lotion to board games to beach towels. It was a... More

We booked a cottage for $ 433 for a 3 night stay in November 2012 for our Anniversary at the Kilauea Volcano Cottage and made our reservations through American Express Travel. We did not get any confirmation of the booking; and after trying them multiple times on the phone never received a phone call back. After talking to American Express... More

The Kilauea Volcano Cottages are a group of little properties literally scattered through rainforest/jungle adjacent to Volcano Village and about one mile from the entrance to Volcano National Park. They are operated by a very nice couple who also operate a fantastic little chocolate company making incredible creations out of native chocolate. First of all - here is what they... More

Not. A. Fan. It took me a long time after our vacation to sit back and think about our experiences while in Hawaii. This. Was. The. Worst. We arrived, on time, to the Honeymoon Chalet, and were unable to locate the key, which was promised to be in one place, and wasn't. Once we FINALLY got in, I was impressed... More

I wish I found these reviews before I went through all the trouble. (There are others under the "Vacation rental" area). I filled out the reservation request form for Kilauea Garden Cottage -- over a month ago! It instructed if you want the long stay discount of $125, to state it in the request field, which I did. A few... More

I made an online reservation for may 2012 for the "Kilauea Garden Cottage" for 3 days. I gave Beate my CC details and requested a reservation confirmation. I didn't get one. So after a couple of days I emailed her and asked for a confirmation of my reservation. Still no answer. I then called her. It was not easy getting... More

If you are staying overnight in Volcano, consider renting one of these cottages. The value couldn't be better. We had a comfortable two-room cottage with a stocked kitchen, a lanai situated in a jungly garden, a sitting room, and covered parking. Because of the humidity, it can be chilly. Space heaters and a gas heater in the living room address... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Mauna Loa cottage. The cottage looks better in person than on the Kilauea Volcano Cottages website. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nice and came stocked with breakfast supplies. The beds were comfortable, although the "queen" bed in the master bedroom isn't quite a queen size (bigger than Full though). We...
