We have tried several accommodations in and near Volcano village, but for excellent value - this was truly the best. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and our rooms were nicely outfitted, roomy, and pretty much lacked for nothing. We didn't have dinner on the premises, but the restaurant was cozy and nicely arranged. The breakfast that came with...

This is about dining, as we did not stay in the lodge. Our goal was a nice dinner before heading to see the lava at night, and it met that goal quite well. The lodge is a converted camp lodge with a funky fireplace dating back to the thirties, its least attractive feature. We had seafood specials, which were more...

Loved the honeymoon suite. Very comfy. Enjoyed the cozy fire, books, hot tub, and yummy breakfast. The double shower was nice too. Lots of little touches here and there, like the bird identification chart by the parlor door.

A very beautiful place!! Highly recommend it. This is the place to stay if you love nature. The staff was very very friendly and the cottages very cozy! Nestled in the forest near the Volcano National Park. Breakfast is included and it's a full breakfast. Very tasty.

Kilauea Lodge was recommended to us by friends who had previously stayed there while on the Big Island. It was a great recommendation and will stay there again. The service was fantastic, the lodging was excellent and the food was delicious. This is the place to stay if you're viewing the volcano. The staff was extremely friendly and provided great...

For long-time Hawaii visitors, for us over forty-five years of visits to all the islands, and, now, for us as residents of the Big Island, the Kilauea Lodge is still a delightful escape. Settled into a rain forest, the lodge offers quiet solitude or the excitement of volcano action and outdoor activity. Late afternoons, we choose to sip wine, read,...

This was the fourth time I've stayed at Kiluea Lodge over the past 30 years, and every visit has been exceptional. The location and surrounding area is quietly spectacular, the staff are most helpful and the included breakfast was tasty. We brought our bikes with us and just after sunrise cycled ten minutes to Crater Rim Drive where, for the...

See below in room tip. I typed in the wrong spot on my iPhone and I can't copy and paste it up here. User challenge on vacation. But maybe the good people at trip advisor can fix it because I wrote a really good review. Worth reading.

Great spot. Very friendly staff. Delicious meals. Very beautiful setting. Stayed there with two families both with teenagers and they were very accommodating. Only thing to improve upon might be the comfort of the beds. Other than that - it was fantastic!

This place has some good features - included breakfast is very good, location relative to volcano park is fantastic (3 min drive), the grounds are pretty, rooms are fine (typical for fancy large scale b&b). It has some less than stellar features - tap water unsafe for drinking (so bottled water provided), no tv (and today is march madness), restaurant...

Aloha. All the rooms in the Hale Aloha building have portable fans. There are occasional warm early evenings although the average nighttime temperature year round hovers between 50-65 degrees. Birds too loud? Most folk that come to this part of Hawai'i come to hear these native birds. NO ONE in Volcano has air conditioning. Perhaps if you had opened your...

“Umbrella's are provided so need to worry about getting or bringing some. There are 2 in the cottage. Toiletries are also provided. I can't think of a thing I should have brought to make my stay any better. You will fully enjoy your time in this cottage. It's literally less than 2 minutes to the entrance of Volcanoe's National Park. ”
