We originally had reservations at the Marriott's "Autograph" hotel, the Mauna Kea. When our dates changed, (Dec 10-15) we ended up here on points (Platinum Elite). I got a lot of advance information about construction noise. I was concerned we would not be happy. This ended up being a complete NON ISSUE. The property was great!! Our room was fresh...

So let me start by saying this , we never heard or were disturbed by the construction noise at all. The check in was very convenient and front desk was super nice in providing us with room option to see and choose as we needed a connected room for us and parents. Well maintained property and self parking is a...

I am still upset that we almost did not stay here because of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. We would have seriously missed out. This hotel is in a great location, with modern rooms, a great outdoor area, and access to a really excellent beach with a healthy reef. Anyone who calls this place anything other than "very nice" is...

As a Platinum member I do not expect more then what I'm promised. Upon check in at around 2pm there was ONLY 1 person working at front desk. I have lined up on Elite carpet and when second person at front office showed called from "next in line please". What? Why am I an Elite=LOYAL customer, I guess it tell...

Booked room for a friend months ago when website read renovations by mid-December. More recently, extended to January. Called yesterday and requested renovated room. Was treated rudely by front desk. Friend checked-in --non-renovated room. Website now reads renovations to be completed in May. Seriously, management, you owe compensation. Surely, you got compensation from the contractors you hired and are delayed...

Seven years ago, on our first trip to Hawaii we stayed at Waikoloa Marriott and I was excited to stay there again. I remembered the food being great, our room comfortable the facility being well maintained. Customer service was outstanding and it was the perfect place to chill and relax. I do not remember it being a family resort. For...

They are doing some remodeling but we didn't notice it during our visit. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the King and Queen shopping centers. We went to breakfast, dinner, grocery shopping and Starbucks at the shopping centers. Did not eat at the hotel except for an appetizer at the pool. Hotel did not feel crowded which...
