We stay a lot on the Big Island and primarily in Waikoloa so I can offer a great comparison. This resort for the price is PERFECT for our family. We stayed in a two bedroom unit that was two story. If you do not mind to rent a car for going to beautiful not too crowded beaches (10-20km) or the mountains (30-100km) I recommend to try the paniolo greens. The turkeys on the 36-hole golf course will wake you up early enough to go for a swim and a hike in one single day. A fresh breeze from the 4000m-mountains...

We stayed in a two story villa on the golf course with a peek of the ocean from the upper level balcony. It was a nice and quiet setting, the grounds were well-maintained, the pool was pleasant, and the accommodations while a little older were still in good shape. It was great having a full kitchen and it had everything...

We just needed some place to accommodate 2 families (4 adults and 1 child) for our last night in Big Island and this was a pretty inexpensive option. There's really nothing close by, as others pointed out, this is in the middle of a desolated lava flow field. The condo we stayed at had 2 storied. Amenities were good, very...

We stayed at this condo resort development for two nights while we waited for our timeshare check in to be ready. We were not sure what the accommodations would be like because we used the hot wire service where you have to pay before you find out where you are staying. Well, much to our delight Paniolo Greens Resort was...

The resort is set in Waikoloa village, 20 mins drive to the beaches of Mauna Lani resort and Puako Bay. It has a beautiful golf course (I'm not a golfer), and a pool which we did not use but seemed teeming with kids. The condo was beautifully appointed, with a kitchen to die for if you are really into your...

My husband and I stayed four nights in a one bedroom condo in the F building which is away from the pool area. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished with everything one would need for either a short or long stay. The stacked washer/dryer even had a packet of detergent waiting for us to use. The kitchen contained...

This is a very well kept place that offers relatively affordable 2 and 3-bedroom condos for rent. The resort is in the Waikoloa Village, which has a supermarket, a few dining options and a golf course. But that's all you get, and as long as you understand it, you are up for a good trip. This is not a seafront...

Our condo had two bathrooms so there was travel size shampoo and conditioner in both. There is a Foodland grocery store close by if you need anything else.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It's nice to have a full kitchen and the BBQ areas are available outside for use. You have to pay extra for air conditioning, but it's worth it. It's a bit of a drive to get to anything (Kona), but the resort is nice. We didn't have any problems with bugs and were glad for the extra space.

Aloha,

thank you for your inquiry regarding our property and our upcoming refurbishment. Our total unit refurbishment will commence mid June and we anticipate it to be completed by October. We will have full buildings out of order during their renovations so you will not be directly affected. Our pool hours are 7am - 10pm daily. The pool is not centrally located, however the entire property is walkable. We look forward to you coming and staying with us soon.

Aloha,
