My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. It is an older property but it is well maintained and the landscaping is beautiful. Some of the units are privately owned, including the one we stayed in. Our only complaint is that there was no AC and every time the condo was closed up it got really hot--although it looks...

We had unit D-106 which is a ground floor ocean front unit. It could not have been more perfect. It was about 50 steps from the beach from our Lani, a beach walk goes miles up the coast. We got up every morning to watch the sun rise and watch the crabs play on the beach, we saw a monk...

Pono Kai was great. The place so nice and clean. Friendly staff. Well maintained. I loved it because it was central to walk to Kapa'a...and the walk along the beach walk was great. The folks I was with rented pedal bikes and rode along it as well. They really liked it too. Can't wait to go back. Only thing that...

We've stayed here twice, totaling 3 weeks at this resort. We like staying here because it's very central to the island and makes it easy to go either north or south. It's right on the ocean, it's clean and the service is great. We will most likely stay here again when we come back to Kauai.

We had a non-ocean view unit at this resort for a week. It is conveniently located on the beach and within walking distance to downtown Kapa'a. The unit was spacious with a roomy kitchen. The grounds were well-kept and they had a nice pool, tennis courts, putting green, croquet court and other fun distractions. About the only issue was that...

Booked in second week of December 2013. Mildew smell greeted us on entering the unit. Complained, they said they would clean after we left. Louvers in bed room would not close completely. Kept awake by the footsteps and creaking in the unit above, constantly waiting for them to fall through the roof. Unable to sort wifi in room. Mislead about...

My husband and I have visited Kauai many times and stayed at other facilites. We were upgraded to a two bedroom unit and loved it. My only "dislike" was that we didn't have an ocean view, but our garden view was nice and the grounds are very, very well maintained. No, it's not a 5 star Sheraton type place -...

This hotel is old, run down and disgusting. Location may be great but the rooms are old, floors are creaky, the room shakes when others below you close their doors. The bathroom is nasty, someone else's hairs on the floor and in the bathtub, quite frankly I'm scared to get in the shower. The bed is a queen at best....

This is probably one of the most underrated resorts on Kauai. It is located in Kapaa, practically in the center of town. Convenient walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Easy access to the north and south shore of Kauai. Decent beaches in the vicinity and even nicer ones a short drive away. The grounds are well kept. The pool...
