I checked this motel today and it was awful. It was derelict and looked as though it hadn't been looked after in a long while. There were junky cars in the back and no marked office in site. Someone was watching TV with their children in what might have once been the office. A grubby black partition which looked like...

Hotel Lani is a welcome respite from a Na Pali hike. At $50 a night, it is the best bargain on the Island. The owner Dennis is charming and will take care of you. Him and his family live in the back. If you have stayed at a motel 6 then this is the level of amenities ....bed was good,...

Ok I don't write many reviews, but for Motel Lani I will make an exception because they saved my trip to Kauai! Let me explain: I just came back from Kauai where I stayed for a week with my wife between Christmas and New Year 2015. I was hoping to find a centrally located and affordable place to stay since...

Found the motel via internet, you need to call if you want to book in advance (highly recommended). It is perfectly located in Lihue if you're planning on exploring the island. The rooms are basic but clean (somehow there is vinegar smell coming out of the a/c but you'll get used to it... I guess). The real gem of motel...

Best budget motel in Kauai close to Lihue airport, cash only. If you are single or a couple looking just for a place to sleep and shower go for this motel. Wont get cheaper accomodation anywhere else on Kauai. Though it has old rooms, bathroom is renovated and clean. There is a refrigerator but AC is loud. There is free...

Had some family come over for a visit and they stayed at this Local Motel. The owners have kept it as original as possible. It is an older motel, and reminds me of old Kauai, and if you are lucky enough to be staying there when the Family that owns it is having a get together, they will even invite...

Why pay $400 a night when you can come to paradise on a budget and stay here at the Motel Lani! These rooms were clean! and the staff was unbeleavably friendly. For around $50 a night I was able to enjoy the beautiful Island and stay in budget. No the room didn't have a TV, but who needs that in...

Allright, the place is not fashionable, the furniture is outdated and there is no t.v. in the room. But I found it to be clean, not too expensive and available during spring break. On top of that, you get your own, private bathroom. I found the people at the office to be nice and friendly.

I stayed here only one night as I had an early morning flight leaving the Island. The room was basic, clean with old furniture and no frills. Total cost for 1 night was $61.19. It felt fine, but I awoke in the morning with 5 bites in a line on my back. They were red itchy and looked just like...

I was apprehensive at first because of the price, and had a back up plan when I got to Kauai. The room was very clean, with a big, ceramic tiled shower. The furniture was older but quaint and clean. It also has a fridge, and the hospitalityof the staff is great. There are no televisions, but I certainly did not...
