Loved this small and quiet but elegant hotel. Very "60's" style building, but redone in a sophisticated manner, even though the rooms are small. Loved being on the ocean, but not needing to walk miles just to get to your room. Everything was close, the...More
The Koa Kea offers a beautiful property and peaceful open atmosphere. Despite it being “spring break” week, the resort was filled with mostly adults and there was always a nice spot open by the pool. The oceanfront suites have the best patio view imaginable and...More

We stayed at the Ki’a Kea Hotel for 4 days. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and personally escorted to our room, which was a nice change from having to find our way on our own. Our room was beautiful and had an amazing...More

Hello, we had the full ocean view from room 348. It was a lovely suite with 2 patios. It rained for part of our stay but we still loved just relaxing with the door open watching the waves. The pool is small but adequate for adults. Nothing for kids there and it’s not a party scene. We loved the staff, the amenities and the spa. The Aloha ritual couples massage was out of this world! There was a mini fridge in the room and nexpresso coffee maker. We stocked up with fresh juice up the road at Kauai juice and that was great. If you’re going to the beach elsewhere, the valets will set you up with towels and umbrella. The beach just out front is great for swimming and light snorkeling or surfing. Also the Red Salt restaurant on site is fantastic! Don’t miss the sushi bar on Saturday night.

We were there for five days this month and we only had four total hours of sunshine the entire trip. It literally rained the entire time and was quite cool. Bring long sleeves and rain gear. We travelled the entire island by car and was raining everywhere we went. Embrace the weather, don’t let it spoil your plans and remember, its known as the Garden Island for a reason!
