This resort is on a cliff between Hanalei and Anini Beach. Because of the cliff, I would not walk to either beach. Hanalei is 10 minutes away with a series of one way bridges making it not speedy, but the views are stunningly beautiful and lots of beach access with waves, Anini Beach is fabulous and more shallow and calm and 5 minutes away. Both are worth seeing, but you need a car.
