We chose The West Inn Kauai because it was convenient to our activities on the West side of the island. We only planned to stay one night before moving on to the next part of the island. Check-in was simple. No one was at the office when we arrived, but I called and Oscar had our pass-code to our room...

Busy season, but we got the room. I knew this wasn't any Four Seasons or Hyatt resort, but a place to rest and regroup for island activities. I've made the mistake before of waiting to the last minute and booking a place I knew I'd regret. I've also paid through the nose for resorts with amenities I'd never use. This...

Nice rooms and staff. Over priced, no pool, broke down cars, nasty beach water. Waimea is a depressed area. Location was close to everything. Very few places to stay. The cottages seem like a nice place to stay. Better ambience! Wish we would have stayed there.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the West Inn on the last weekend in February to visit family. We stayed in the second building on the property and enjoyed our short stay. No one was there to check us in when we arrived, but the resident manager was easily accessible by phone and gave us the code to get...

We were very pleased with our overnight at the West Inn after hiking all day in Waimea Canyon. Oskar graciously and efficiently greeted us and gave us good recommendations for dinner. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Showers were hot. We appreciated the sink and refrigerator. Great value.

Stayed at the West Inn for one night. On the doorsteps to the Waimea Canyon. Clean, The owners are doing an excellent job in creating a place to rest after seeing and doing some hiking. I called in the morning for a one night stay that night. We were arriving early, just to drop one of the vehicles before heading...

Appearances aren't everything. The outside may make you think the place isn't that great but I had a wonderful experience. The airline lost our baggage and told us they would ship it to the hotel however it wouldn't be there until 1am. We didn't want to wait up so the manager waited up and collected our suitcases kept our baggage...

This inn is, in many way, a typical Hawaiian motel: laid back, without too many amenities, but overall, very average. Except one thing: price. I'm not sure if it was because of the Christmas week or if that is their normal practice, but $200 per night in this place is nothing but price gouging. Unfortunately, we had no choice but...

It has what you need, a clean well kept room. No Breakfast buffet, but Gina's across the street is amazing any time of day. A quick walk to the beach, or pretty much anything you need in Waimea. I also recommend the Shrimp Shack right there. Management is very attentive and helpful and the owner drives some sweet classic Volvos.

Stayed 1-2 weeks ago. We were only guests there. Manager dude is nice and chill and his cat is funny. Maybe in season this place is good? Off season it reminded me of the Bates motel. AND the trucks start on the highway at 3:30 am and the roosters make noise pretty much all the time. If i was super...

Wow! I am deeply offended that you would compare our hotel to a couple of horror movies. We pride ourselves in running a clean, safe hotel. We are located in the middle of town only 1 block from the police station and have NEVER had a security issue or anyones safety to be compromised. In fact, we have no record...
